The actor said that he has a green card (permanent resident) in the land of the stars and stripes, so traveling between Vietnam and the US is quite easy.

On October 2, 2017, Ho Vinh Khoa suddenly posted a photo of him and his foreign boyfriend exchanging rings and kissing. On his personal page, the actor wrote: "My life is always associated with surprises. Last year I came here with a broken heart, but this year I returned with a full heart for new beginnings." Ho Vinh Khoa later confirmed that it was a photo of his wedding ceremony held in Hawaii (USA) on October 1 (local time).
