(Baonghean.vn) - Which major and university should I choose? Should I choose based on passion or my parents' wishes?... A series of questions and concerns from high school students were answered in the Future Calls program recently held at Thanh Chuong I High School.

As has become customary for nearly two years now, young people from many high schools in Vinh City have continued to organize the Future Calls program. This year's program took place at the Thanh Chuong I High School grounds, with the participation of more than 1,500 students from Dung town (Thanh Chuong).

Mai Chien Vi Thien, a student in class 10A4 at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School and the head of the organizing committee for the program, said that this year's program is called "W + S = F". W, S, and F are the first letters of Work, Soul, and Future, respectively, with the desire to affirm that the future is not only determined by work and studies (Work) but also by thoughts, feelings, and problems that need to be solved (Soul).

According to Thien, to prepare for the more than 3 hours of conversation and dialogue, the organizing committee members had to plan and prepare for 4 months. Especially in the last week, the members even went directly to Thanh Chuong I High School to receive more than 1,000 questionnaires from students, then categorized and arranged them into groups of questions to be used in the program.

The program is divided into two main parts: Work Call and Soul Call. Work Call provides guidance on studies and future career paths, such as advising on university choices, career orientation, and discussing dreams and passions. Soul Call, on the other hand, is a space for sharing thoughts and feelings of adolescence, expressing the pressures, anxieties, and worries related to studies and family.

Through this program, the organizers aim to provide the latest information on exams, scholarship opportunities for studying abroad, and solutions to academic problems and soft skills. Most importantly, the organizers want to convey to young people the message that they need to be dynamic, proactive, take control, and handle situations related to their own future paths.

The future depends on proactive action.

As one of the three speakers at the program, Le Ngoc Hieu, the founder of Future Calls, shared that most students and parents in districts and communes still underestimate or do not fully understand the importance of developing soft skills, which are extremely crucial and significantly impact the future of each young person.

Especially in today's technological age, where distances are virtually eliminated thanks to the internet, finding information and self-improvement is quite easy. However, not all young people know how to access this information.

Therefore, the Future Calls program was created with the goal of helping students orient themselves towards specific careers, develop soft skills, and maximize their strengths; and to build a positive youth environment in districts and communes that lack community and social activities for students. In the future, Hieu and his friends plan to organize more similar programs in other districts of Nghe An province.

Mr. Le Xuan Huong, Principal of Thanh Chuong I High School, said that the Future Calls program has initially inspired many students at the school. Many students have become more confident when participating in exchanges, asking questions, and discussing with guest speakers… and he believes that these are positive signs for the students.

According to Mr. Huong, the program is not only meaningful for the students of the school but also impacts the Future Calls organizing committee members. The program provides an opportunity for them to develop themselves into proactive and assertive individuals who create value for the community and society, thus enabling them to enter life with a more responsible mindset.

Future Calls is a non-profit program organized annually by young people with the aim of helping high school students in Nghe An province to orient their future, ignite their passions, and pursue their desired paths.

The program has run for three seasons in different districts of Nghe An province, attracting many students with valuable insights shared by guest speakers with extensive life experience.
