Drink coffee or tea with sugar

Instead of drinking a cup of coffee or tea with sugar or cream, try switching to unsweetened soy, almond, or oat milk. Add salt to food

According to Lisa Hayim, nutritionist and founder of The WellNecessities, a high-salt breakfast increases your body's sodium intake, causing you to retain water and have a bloated belly, which affects your day's productivity.

Skip breakfast

Skipping breakfast can lead to overeating, a slowdown in metabolism, negative hormonal effects, including increased levels of the stress hormone cortisol, and increased belly fat, according to nutritionist Lyssie Lakatos, author of “The Nutrition Twins' Veggie Cure.”

Eat too much fiber

Eating a lot of fiber in the morning will make your stomach bloated. Fiber is important, but not too much. If you have a habit of eating too much fiber in the morning, you should drink plenty of water to help the food move through your digestive tract without getting stuck, causing stomach discomfort.

Eat breakfast while watching TV

Focusing on the TV while eating can make it difficult to gauge how much food you’re eating, says Lakatos. Instead, take the time to eat slowly and mindfully to be mindful of each bite and help you manage your weight.
