(Baonghean.vn) - The issuance of criteria will be the basis for schools to choose textbooks suitable for teaching conditions and students' abilities.
The Provincial People's Committee has just issued selection criteria.textbookaccording toGeneral education program 2018in educational institutions in the area. Specifically, there are 4 criteria set out in order of priority.
First criterion:Textbooks must be suitable for students' learning. The content and structure of textbooks must be basic, scientific, modern, practical, easy to understand and easy to use. They must be suitable for students and must meet the requirements of the subject program and educational activities.

These criteria also require the content, structure, topics/lessons in textbooks, focusing on training students in self-study, self-exploration and knowledge acquisition; Creating conditions for students to study actively, proactively and creatively in applying knowledge to solve practical problems. In addition, the system of questions, exercises and activity requirements is open, has many different levels, suitable for the characteristics and level of each student, is effective in forming and developing students' qualities and abilities.
Criterion 2:Textbooks must be convenient for teachers. The topics/lessons in the books focus on integrating interdisciplinary and intra-disciplinary knowledge. The lesson design is presented in a rich and diverse way with many activities, creating conditions for teachers to flexibly choose the form of organization and teaching methods. Thereby, helping teachers to implement the teaching program in connection with real life. At the same time, creating favorable conditions for teachers to be flexible and creative in organizing activities inside and outside the classroom.

Criterion 3:Textbooks must be suitable for local socio-economic conditions. Textbooks must be open, flexible, and highly differentiated. In addition, they can be adjusted to suit many groups of students, easily connected or related, and expanded to local socio-economic conditions. Suitable for the culture, history, geography, and economy of each region.
In particular, textbooks are priced appropriately to local socio-economic conditions.
Criterion 4:Textbooks must be suitable for the conditions of teaching and learning at general education institutions. Specifically, lessons in textbooks can be implemented in accordance with the facilities, equipment and other teaching conditions at the school. Resources and electronic learning materials supplementing the books are diverse, rich, useful and easy to exploit and use. The structure of textbooks helps schools and teachers to be proactive, flexible and creative in building and implementing teaching plans under the guidance of educational management agencies.
