Situations in which security personnel are permitted to open fire starting July 1st.
Security forces are authorized to open fire to neutralize any direct attack on the target they are protecting.
The Guard Law, which came into effect on July 1st, includes a new article specifically outlining the principles and circumstances under which firearms are permitted.
Accordingly, security officers and soldiers are authorized to fire their weapons in the following situations:
- Alerts to intruders entering the area, targeting security personnel.
- Opening fire on intruders entering the area, targeting security guards, after having given orders to stop and fired warning shots into the air without success.
- To neutralize any ongoing direct attack on a security guard or security officer performing their duties.
- Other cases of firing a weapon as stipulated in the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives, and Supporting Tools.

TIn urgent cases, to ensure the absolute safety of the person under protection, security officers and soldiers may mobilize personnel, communication equipment, transportation vehicles, other means of transport, and the people using or operating those vehicles (except for vehicles belonging to diplomatic missions, consular offices, or representative offices of international organizations...).
Security officers and soldiers who mobilize personnel and vehicles are responsible for returning them immediately after the emergency situation ends. If a person mobilized for duty suffers losses, they are entitled to compensation as prescribed by law; if the mobilized vehicle is lost or damaged, the agency employing the mobilized officers and soldiers must compensate according to the law.
