(Baonghean.vn) - With the desire to change their poor lives, many young people have been gradually finding a direction in economic development. Many economic models suitable to their capacity and the trend of the times are being tested and bringing initial results, creating a positive effect on the thinking of production, business and entrepreneurship of young people.

Get rich with red-fleshed dragon fruit

Born and raised in the difficult Dien Phu area of Dien Chau district, Vo Trong Phuc soon nurtured the determination to get rich from his homeland. In 2014, implementing the policy of land consolidation and receiving support from the district People's Committee according to the project to develop red-fleshed dragon fruit, this young man with strong will and determination boldly borrowed capital from the bank, invested over 500 million VND to turn 0.75 hectares of old cassava and vegetables into a red-fleshed dragon fruit farm, starting his entrepreneurial path.

Mr. Phuc confided: In the beginning, due to lack of experience and planting and care techniques, the dragon fruit of his family was not beautiful, the canopy was not even, and sometimes he felt discouraged.

However, with the determination not to be afraid of difficulties, in addition to participating in training courses organized by the district, Mr. Phuc also spent time visiting and learning about the highly effective red-fleshed dragon fruit growing models in Binh Thuan, Quang Ninh, Hanoi... He also worked hard to research and learn about the knowledge of planting and caring for red-fleshed dragon fruit trees on the internet, applying it in practice. Thanks to that, the 500 red-fleshed dragon fruit pillars have not failed people, compensating for his efforts over the past 3 years. On average, each pillar yields 10-20kg, bringing Mr. Phuc's family an income of 200-300 million VND/year.

Not stopping there, when his knowledge of growing and caring for red dragon fruit was solid, Mr. Phuc continued to boldly invest in barns, developing pig, chicken and cow farming for an average income of 300 million VND/year. Since then, Vo Trong Phuc has become one of the typical examples in the movement of young people doing good business in Dien Chau district.

In addition to developing the family economy, Mr. Phuc also enthusiastically helps, exchanges and guides experiences for those who come after him. Looking back on his 3-year economic journey, Mr. Phuc confided: "In the early days, there were many worries and concerns because he was young and had no experience, but because he was young, he had to be bold, dare to think, dare to do." Although there were still many difficulties, Phuc said that in the coming time, he would continue to invest in expanding the area of growing red dragon fruit.

Starting a business from a chain of clean food stores

Like Mr. Vo Trong Phuc, Mr. Nguyen Viet Phuoc, born in 1989 (Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town) graduated from the University of Finance but did not choose big cities to start a career, but returned to Hoang Mai to learn how to do business, and started building his own startup project.

Initially, with the financial support of relatives and friends, he opened a small store to consume a part of the agricultural products of his hometown. Gradually, he realized that in the locality, the situation of dirty food floating around and of unknown origin was being sold everywhere, as well as the increasing demand for clean food in society. At that time, he cherished the desire to build a chain of clean food stores and a model of raising, growing, self-producing and supplying clean goods for his own store.

In September 2015, he founded Auriga Joint Stock Company - specializing in trading agricultural products, clean foods such as vegetables, tubers, fruits, meat and other essential items. All of which meet Vietgap and Globalgap safety standards.

Becoming a businessman of a company with a chain of 3 consecutive stores is a big challenge for Mr. Phuoc. Difficulties constantly surround him, especially the lack of experience and technique.

“At first, we encountered many difficulties, especially capital, facilities and experience. Starting a business in clean agriculture is my passionate idea to maximize the supply of clean products to consumers,” he shared.

With the desire to build a more complete model, he decided to implement a clean farm model to be more proactive in food supply. Specifically: implementing pig and chicken farming according to the Japanese EM model.

He is strict in selecting breeds, only using healthy breeds and the process of care, water and medicine use, collection and packaging must all comply with safety standards.

Regarding vision, with the motto “Serving the community”, Mr. Phuoc aims to make Auriga a leading company in the field of food trading and processing. In addition, ensuring consumer demand, diversifying products, improving technology, and aiming at the world market are the goals that Mr. Phuoc and his associates set out.

Phuoc's path to success has been through many difficulties and challenges, however, thanks to his courage and passion, the young man from Hoang Mai has brought his hometown's agricultural products to many northern provinces, closer to consumers.

Private garment factory creates jobs for 26 young workers

Born in 1995, at a very young age, Tran Van Tuan (Son Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district) already owns a home-based sewing workshop with 26 employees. In 2012, Tuan went to Russia to work in sewing workshops. After 3 years of self-study, he had a little experience in sewing and grasped the European market. In 2015, Tuan returned to Vietnam. With the encouragement of his family, he opened a home-based sewing workshop called "Tuan Huong".

In the early days of starting a business, difficulties were inevitable. With a capital of 200 million VND borrowed from family and brothers, plus the money saved from months of working in Russia, Tuan used 100 square meters of his family's land to build a workshop. He was also responsible for supervising the construction and recruiting tailors. Tuan shared, "In the first months, I had a hard time recruiting workers. I could only recruit 10 people, mainly from the commune. The quantity of goods was large, and there were no resources, so sometimes I had to accept losses."

Despite the hardships, with the determination to maintain and develop, Tuan's sewing workshop has been operating stably with 30 industrial sewing machines. For each batch of goods, Tuan is responsible for the sewing and processing techniques. Tuan shared, "The products of the "parent" company specialize in high-end shirts and pants exported to European and American countries. Therefore, the requirements for product quality are very strict and must meet standards. At satellite facilities like this, we guide workers to get acquainted and approach the work directly on the products, combining instructions and practice so that workers can quickly get to work effectively."

Thanks to his diligence, hard work as well as his solid skills, Tuan's facility has created a reputation and prestige with customers. The garment factory creates jobs for 26 workers, with a stable income of 4-5 million per month. Tuan shared that at first, he only intended to open a small-scale facility to solve employment for local workers, but he did not expect that the demand from workers in neighboring areas was also very large. Therefore, in the coming time, Tuan will try to expand the factory, find more sources of goods, and try to operate the facility effectively to ensure stable jobs for workers.

Phuc, Phuoc, Tuan are three of 29 young people who are good at business and production in 2017, recently honored by Nghe An Provincial Youth Union. They have different starting points, but what they have in common is that they are not only good at business but also enthusiastic and energetic Youth Union and Association cadres in grassroots activities.
