Things to do
Know yourself:To get ahead in your career, you need to know yourself: your values, your strengths and weaknesses, and your core uniqueness. When you know yourself, you can get the opportunities, support, and rewards you want. A lack of self-awareness can hold you back from getting promoted or landing your dream job.
Work efficiently and quickly:95% of top leaders are exceptionally efficient and fast. Being good at what they do and being able to pivot quickly are both necessary. Lack of either is not enough to be a top professional.
RPractice persuasion:Persuasion is essential to success, not only in business but also in everyday life. It is the catalyst for getting things done and achieving results beyond your wildest dreams. Don't doubt the power of persuasion or you will miss out on opportunities. You may be more persuasive than you think.
Carry out 'technology purification':Hearing your phone ring will distract you and therefore reduce your productivity. Don't bring your phone into meetings, and turn it off before you go to bed.
Traveling:Life is finite and work is infinite. So take breaks when you need them. Traveling actually increases your chances of getting a raise and promotion.
Always be happy:Just trying to get through the workday? That's not enough to make you successful. Happy people make better workers. People who are engaged with their work and their coworkers tend to work harder, be more productive, and work smarter.
Things not to do
Creating unnecessary pressure on yourself:We absorb negativity, stress, and anxiety like cigarette smoke. If someone around you is anxious and highly expressive, either verbally or non-verbally, there is a high chance that you will pick up on those emotions, negatively affecting your brain’s performance.
Overwork and self-inflicted suffering:You may be having fun but you are exhausted. Don’t neglect your life. Working too hard has diminishing returns because you will work less and less wisely.
Neglecting work relationships:Having a good relationship with your manager is important. The first step is to clarify expectations. Then determine what is needed and deliver.
Curb the desire to learn:Don't underestimate the power of curiosity. Curious people inevitably rise to leadership levels. You will go further by practicing what you know. Keep learning!
Give up:If you are sure you have a passion and are always thinking about your dream, then persevere. Overcoming obstacles actually helps you develop a strong brain. Plus, the ideas that come from persistence can be more creative than the ideas that come from the beginning.
