Gas tank explosion at primary school, seven students seriously burned
Standing watching their parents fry sausages to sell at the spring fair, a group of students from Ho Do Primary School (Ha Tinh) suffered severe burns when a mini gas tank exploded.
On February 5, Ho Do Primary School (Loc Ha District, Ha Tinh) organized a spring fair in the school grounds with many booths. At around 12:30, a group of students were watching their parents fry sausages for sale when suddenly a mini gas tank exploded.
DGrease and fire were flying around, causing seven children to suffer severe burns.Parents and teachers called an ambulance to take the injured student to the hospital.

Doctor Nguyen Quang Truc, Head of the Trauma Department, Ha Tinh General Hospital, said that the seven students were admitted to the hospital in a state of panic and crying a lot. They mainly suffered burns on the face, level 1-3, covering 5-10% of the area.
"Two of them were quite seriously injured, with peeling skin and swelling. One of them has been transferred to Hanoi for treatment by his family," Dr. Truc informed.

Ms. Vo Thi My Tan, Principal of Ho Do Primary School, said that in the immediate future, the school will coordinate with parents to take care of students' health. In severe cases, the school will borrow money with the family to take the children to a hospital in Hanoi.
"This is an unexpected incident, we are working with authorities to clarify the cause," said Ms. Tan.
