A gas explosion has killed five people and injured 16 others in Algeria.
On October 10, a gas explosion occurred in the city of El Bayadh in western Algeria, causing 21 casualties.

The gas explosion killed five people and injured 16 others, according to Algeria's civil defense agency. The blast also flattened two homes and damaged six others.
Rescue teams were quickly deployed to the scene to take the victims to emergency rooms. Local media quoted Algerian electricity officials as saying,explosionoccurred when a gas pipeline to the city of El Bayadh was damaged during construction work.
Following the explosion, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent the Ministers of Health, Energy and Transport to the city of El Bayadh to investigate the incident. An investigation into the cause of the explosion has also been launched./.
