Of the 22 items of the project, there are two particularly important items: the Church and the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs. The Church was completed, handed over and put into use 2 years ago. The Memorial is an artistic sculpture including artistic images and characters depicted to commemorate and honor heroic sacrifices, indomitable will, bravery, and self-sacrifice for the noble cause of the Fatherland. The Memorial is built on an area of 4,791 square meters, measuring 70 x 68.45 meters; the front is adjacent to the Square with a length of 70 meters, the remaining 3 sides are adjacent to the green campus. The layout of the project includes a pedestal, a relief, two groups of statues, six legendary pillars, flower beds, trees, and lighting. This item took a long time to design and approve, so construction only started nearly 2 years ago; and although the construction process encountered many difficulties due to many technical and aesthetic factors, up to now, the Memorial has been completed. Mr. Ly Ngoc Lam - Chief Consultant of the Truong Bon Historical Site Conservation and Restoration Project said: "We consider this the duty and responsibility of today's generation for the great sacrifice of the previous generation and want to do more to repay part of that great sacrifice, at the same time educating the younger generation to continue this fine tradition".
The project involved many supervisory and construction units. In 2013, the Traffic Construction Corporation 4 - JSC (Cienco4) was selected by Nghe An Department of Transport as the contractor for the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 15A through Truong Bon Historical Relic Site. CTGT Company 422 was honored to be assigned by the leadership of Cienco4 to construct this particularly important route. Overcoming many difficulties and challenges, especially site clearance and harsh weather, the workers of CTGT Company 422 completed more than 5 km of asphalt road according to level 3 plain standards through the Relic Site. Mr. Vuong Viet Hoang, Captain of Construction Team 6 - CTGT Company 422 shared: "Despite the difficulties in site clearance, with our affection and responsibility towards the martyrs, we have persistently coordinated with the investor and local authorities to have the site ready for construction, ensuring the best quality, contributing to beautifying the landscape of Truong Bon Historical Site. Our unit has mobilized workers to work day and night to keep up with the schedule assigned by the province."
Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky, Director of Nghe An Department of Transport - the project investor said: "The project has spiritual and cultural significance, a historical milestone recording the heroic years of our nation; it is an eternal project, therefore, the industry attaches special importance to quality. Regarding the supervision system and construction materials, the Art Council has supervised and evaluated each stage. The implementation of the items ensures quality, on schedule and very high aesthetic requirements". The construction process of the Truong Bon Historical Site Conservation and Restoration Project encountered many difficulties, the most difficult of which is capital (mainly socialized sources). Although the items (including items of great value) have been completed, the capital allocated to the construction unit is still very little, due to lack of funds. Besides, the weather is also a factor affecting the progress of the project. There was a time in Truong Bon when the temperature reached 40 - 450C. In the heat, workers had to work at night more, while the technical and aesthetic requirements were very high. On the other hand, the construction materials were bluestone imported from Thanh Hoa province, then transported back to Ninh Binh for workers to process and then transported to Truong Bon for installation. The large volume of stone, large weight, and bulky made the transportation process very difficult and time-consuming... Faced with these difficulties, the leaders of the Department of Transport always closely followed the scene, focusing on directing contractors to mobilize maximum machinery and human resources to complete the construction on schedule, ensuring quality and aesthetics. With the high determination of the investor and construction units, after nearly 5 years of construction, the historical relic site with a grand scale on an area of 217,327m2 has basically been completed.
With the deep affection and gratitude of today's generations, the determined efforts of the Party Committee, the government of Nghe An province and sponsors, a relic site worthy of the historical stature of the nation has been built and completed in Truong Bon to commemorate the merits of heroic martyrs, and educate revolutionary traditions for generations.
