Efforts to solve the problem of "surplus" teachers
(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the 15th session of the 16th term People's Council of Nghe An province, on the afternoon of December 18, at the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, a discussion session took place between Group 4, including delegates of the Provincial People's Council in the constituencies: Nghia Dan, Quy Hop and Con Cuong.
Also attending were invited guests who were elected deputies of the 13th National Assembly in the districts, Heads of departments, branches and sectors; District Party Committee Secretaries, Standing Committees of People's Councils and Chairmen of District People's Committees.

Delegates participating in the group discussion actively contributed opinions and expressed their concern about issues related to environmental pollution in the province, surplus teachers, unemployed graduates, and the issue of mineral exploitation rights subsidies.

Comrade Phan The Phuong - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Dan district said that it is necessary to clarify the reasons for the slow progress in achieving new rural standards, the limitations in environmental resource management, especially the handling and remediation of environmental pollution by competent authorities, which still have many shortcomings. He also requested the Provincial People's Council to support the allocation of public investment budget to build two important projects: Road No. 1 Nghia Dan to the district cemetery and Khe Dan bridge project.

Responding to issues related to the surplus of teachers, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Director of the Department of Education and Training said that the Nghe An education sector currently has a surplus of more than 1,500 teachers, but according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the province is still short of 1,426 teachers. Currently, the Department of Education and Training has advised the People's Committee of Nghe An province to limit new recruitment, encourage secondary and primary school teachers to study for additional degrees and certificates to transfer to preschool level, in order to ensure balance in both quantity and professional quality.
