In the context of climate change increasingly impacting agricultural production, research and development of adaptable crop varieties has become a top priority. ThaiBinh Seed Group has achieved many outstanding accomplishments in selecting and breeding new rice and maize varieties, especially during the 2023-2025 period, making a significant contribution to the development of Vietnamese agriculture.

Rice varieties TBR225 and TBR87 are adaptable to climate change.

For the 2024-2025 Winter-Spring crop season, ThaiBinh Seed introduces the TBR225 rice variety, which boasts excellent cold tolerance, making it suitable for harsh weather conditions. This variety not only adapts well to a wide range of soil types, from plains to midlands and mountainous regions, but also yields high productivity, averaging 70-80 quintals/hectare, and even exceeding 90 quintals/hectare with good intensive farming practices. The fragrant, sticky, and flavorful rice of TBR225 is also favored by the market, ensuring stable output for farmers.

ThaiBinh Seed also focuses on selecting and breeding rice varieties that adapt to climate change. The TBR87 rice variety has been researched and developed with good resistance to pests and diseases, especially blast and bacterial leaf blight.

TBR87 has a short growing season, from 105-110 days, making it suitable for the main cropping season to avoid adverse weather conditions and create favorable conditions for planting winter crops. TBR87 yields over 2 quintals per sao (approximately 200 kg per 1000 square meters), and its rice is delicious, soft, and highly valued by farmers.

TBR97 rice variety - A Golden Brand of Vietnamese Agriculture

In October 2024, ThaiBinh Seed's TBR97 rice variety was honored with the title "Vietnam's Golden Agricultural Brand". TBR97 stands out for its high yield, strong stems, short growing season, resistance to pests and diseases, and good adaptability to climate change.

This recognition is a testament to ThaiBinh Seed's continuous efforts in researching and developing high-quality rice varieties. These rice varieties are now quite popular throughout the country and in Nghe An province.

The TBM135 hybrid glutinous corn variety boasts superior yield and quality.

In the field of maize, ThaiBinh Seed has introduced the TBM135 hybrid glutinous maize variety with many outstanding advantages. TBM135 has a short growing season, can be planted year-round, and takes only 70-80 days from sowing to harvesting fresh corn.

Corn plants have a strong, tripod-like root system, good lodging resistance, and are resistant to pests and diseases, especially rust. The average yield of fresh corn is 106-144 quintals/hectare, with kernels that are sticky, fragrant, and delicious, meeting market demands.
