Exciting 12th Tang Poetry Festival in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 27, at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Tang Luat Poetry Association coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An Province to organize the 12th Vietnam Tang Luat Poetry Festival.
Attending the poetry festival were Professor Hoang Chuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Tang Luat Poetry Association; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Tang Luat Poetry Association, Head of the festival's organizing committee; People's Artist Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province. In particular, there was also the participation of more than 900 members from 71 Tang Luat Poetry Associations of provinces and cities nationwide. |
This is an annual cultural event to honor Vietnamese Tang poetry. In recent years, under the direct guidance of the Center for Research, Preservation and Promotion of Vietnamese Ethnic Culture, the Association has had exciting and meaningful activities contributing to the country's poetry. Up to now, the Vietnam Tang Poetry Association has nearly 2,500 members from 71 grassroots Party cells in 43 provinces and cities nationwide. In particular, at the branches in the provinces of Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Dien Bien... there are also members who are ethnic minorities.

In preparation for the 12th Tang Poetry Festival held in Nghe An this year, the Association successfully organized a Tang poetry contest about Uncle Ho's homeland with the theme "The Road to Nghe An".
The contest attracted 986 authors from all regions with over 2,000 poems praising the homeland and revolutionary tradition of Nghe An province. The best works were published in books and sent to the National Tang Poetry Festival.
As part of this series of events, the Association also organized a "Journey to support poor students to overcome difficulties" to support schools in Ha Tinh and Nghe An, including supporting 2 middle and high schools located in Tan Xuan commune, Tan Ky district with a total value of more than 45 million VND.

For the Nghe An Tang Poetry Association, in recent years it has attracted hundreds of members from units in the province, contributing many meaningful activities.
In the upcoming 12th Anthology of Vietnamese Classical Poetry, Nghe An Classical Poetry Association will have dozens of authors participating in the total of 1,250 authors nationwide.

According to plan, the 2018 Vietnam Classical Poetry Festival is expected to be held in Hai Phong city./.
