It's still more than a month until Tet, but to avoid long waits, I'm trying to arrange a visit to get my car refurbished, deodorized, floor mats installed, and leather seats reupholstered… so I can take my family out for Tet.”

As Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches, the demand for car care and detailing services increases by 1.5 times compared to normal days. According to the owner of Hung Thinh car interior shop (Mai Hac De Street), this is the peak season for car detailing, with 6-7 cars coming in for interior decoration each day, an increase of about 30% compared to normal days. Customer needs are becoming increasingly diverse: washing, cleaning the interior, deodorizing, polishing, window tinting, leather seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc. According to shop owners, in about half a month, car maintenance and detailing services will enter their peak season; at that time, the prices of services and accessories will be slightly higher.

Mr. Nguyen Luong Sy, Director of Thang Long Auto Interior Center (Mai Hac De Street), said: “Although the number of cars coming to the center for detailing has increased by 1.5 times compared to normal days, it is lower than the same period in previous years. A few years ago, at this time, people flocked to get their cars detailed, and we couldn't keep up with the demand. This was partly due to the increasing number of auto interior centers, and another reason was that nearly 50% of the cars needing detailing were newly purchased. However, at this time, the demand for cars is slowing down, significantly affecting the business of auto interior centers.”

Mr. Nguyen Doan Huy (Nam Dan Town) said: “I bought the car almost 4 years ago, and it's old, so I wanted to upgrade it a bit to make it more comfortable and beautiful for the whole family, especially during Tet (Lunar New Year). I added a camera and screen, installed speakers for music, and applied decals to refresh the car's appearance. In addition, to make it unique, I had to wait almost half a month to order a set of Bourdeaux red seat covers, which are luxurious and beautiful.”

In addition, tech gadgets such as dashcams, infrared cameras, and integrated entertainment systems are also quite popular. These camera and screen devices, which record the entire journey, provide GPS tracking, display the odometer, and warn of speed limits, help make driving safer and the car look more luxurious. With an average price of only 7-9 million VND, they are a popular choice among many customers.

With more and more young customers owning cars, the trend in car customization is also becoming more youthful. The owner of Bờm Hiếu Car Interior Consulting shop (on Hồng Bàng street) said that many young people often order car interior sets with striking and fashionable designs and colors. Many also like to "mix and match" colors for the interior to create a unique and impressive look. To meet the demand for unique and fashionable car interiors, the shop often has to order designs and tailoring from Saigon. They also "upgrade" their cars by installing dashcams and replacing speakers for better sound systems. In recent years, more and more young customers like to change the color of their cars by applying various side decals (mainly for 7-seater cars), with many diverse and youthful designs. As in previous years, accessories and decorative items for the car's dashboard are also frequently purchased by young customers…
