Gunfire broke out to quell a fight in karaoke, one police officer was shot

While handling a case of public disorder in the area, the deputy captain of the Criminal Police Department of Hoang Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, was shot in the thigh by a person using a homemade gun.

On December 22, the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police arrested 10 people involved in the public disorder incident at the Jacson karaoke bar in Hoang Vinh Commune, Hoang Hoa District, to clarify the case of using a homemade gun to shoot and injure a Hoang Hoa District Police officer.

Those arrested include: Nguyen Van Cuong (aka Cuong Den, 28 years old), Pham Van Minh (aka Cu Cheng, 24 years old), Nguyen Trong Xuan (aka Cu Xuan, 21 years old), Nguyen Doan Ty (aka Cu Ty, 21 years old), all residing in Thanh Hoa City.

Le Trung Dong (aka Dong Duc, 24 years old), Pham Thanh Tung (18 years old), Le Huy Tien (23 years old), Hoang Quoc Nam (23 years old), Nguyen Van Thang (22 years old), Le Duc Hung (22 years old), all residing in Hoang Hoa district.

According to initial investigation, at around 10 p.m. on December 15, due to a conflict while singing karaoke at the Jacson bar in Hoang Vinh commune, a group of about 10 people from Thanh Hoa city and a group of about 6 people from Hoang Hoa used bricks, stones, iron rods, and matchlock guns to "fight" right at the bar, then chased and beat each other.

Upon receiving the news, the leaders of Hoang Hoa District Police sent a task force to the scene. Seeing the presence of Hoang Hoa District Police Criminal Police, these people ran away.

A moment later, thinking that the police had left the scene, a group of people from Thanh Hoa City including Pham Van Minh, Nguyen Van Cuong, Nguyen Trong Xuan, and Nguyen Doan Ty brought homemade guns back to the scene to find Hoang Hoa's group to continue the "fight".

At this time, seeing the recklessness of these people, Mr. Cao Van Thinh - Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Team of Hoang Hoa District Police used a rubber bullet gun to shoot into the air to suppress them, but was immediately shot by Nguyen Van Cuong sitting behind Pham Van Minh's motorbike using a homemade gun, injuring Mr. Thinh in the left thigh and had to go to the emergency room.

By December 22, the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police had arrested 10 people related to the above case, and seized two homemade guns belonging to Pham Van Minh and Nguyen Van Cuong.

Thanh Hoa Provincial Police are continuing to investigate, expand the case, and arrest the remaining suspects.
