The countryside market carelessly sells 'death fish'

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 29, at the flea markets in Dien Thinh Commune - Dien Chau (Nghe An), many fishermen caught puffer fish and sold them openly.

It is known that puffer fish is a highly toxic species, considered as the "god of death" fish. According to the experience of fishermen here, there are many types of puffer fish, however, the Dien Chau sea mainly has two types: The type with very high toxicity, if eating the liver or gallbladder of the fish can easily cause fatal poisoning, called flower puffer fish (the skin has flower patterns). The second type whose meat can be eaten is called rice puffer fish (the skin is light yellow).

It is worth mentioning here that when selling puffer fish, sellers often peel off the skin, making it difficult for buyers to distinguish.

Although there is a ban on catching, consuming and using puffer fish, people here still freely sell this type of fish without any inspection by authorities.
