(Baonghean.vn) - Located in a strategic position, during 60 years of construction, fighting and growing up, generations of officers and soldiers of Mat Island have always been brave, resilient, united, overcoming all difficulties, firmly protecting the homeland's sea and islands, and successfully completing all assigned tasks.

With a strong military force, the Mat Island Mixed Battalion is currently raising 45 pigs and 450 poultry. In 2023, the Battalion will harvest 5,740 kg of pork, an average of 48 kg/person/year; poultry output will reach 5,510 kg, an average of 46 kg/person/year; and green vegetables will yield 15,700 kg, an average of 150 kg/person/year.
