(Baonghean) - The Vietnam-Korea Industrial Technical School was established on December 4, 1998, and upgraded to the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology on February 15, 2007. The school is a gift from the Government and people of Korea to Vietnam. With the mission of training skilled workers at the college, intermediate, and basic vocational levels, providing retraining, advanced training, and job placement counseling after training, over the past 15 years, alongside the development of Vietnam's vocational education sector, the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology has continuously grown and developed, becoming a symbol of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.

Over 15 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam-Korea Vocational College of Technology has made continuous progress in both scale and quality. It has affirmed its position within the vocational training system, gaining the trust of the people and becoming a reliable address for businesses and vocational students.
The staff and teachers have grown from 30 to over 180, including 130 teachers, 75% of whom hold postgraduate degrees, 2% are highly skilled technicians, 100% of teachers have technical pedagogical skills, and 30% have received technology transfer training abroad. This has fostered an industrial work ethic among staff, teachers, employees, and students.
Each year, the school enrolls over 1,000 students, with a training capacity of 3,000. The school currently has 6 departments, 9 faculties, 2 centers, and offers training in 12 trades. Over the past 15 years, it has trained over 11,000 students in long-term vocational courses, 2,000 students in short-term vocational courses, 7,000 workers in Korean language training, and provided orientation training for over 3,000 workers for overseas employment. Of these, over 8,000 students have graduated, with over 85% finding employment domestically, and 2,500 students working in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, etc. Many have become successful managers, supervisors, and production team leaders. The quality of graduates is gradually being affirmed in the domestic and international labor markets.
The school's facilities and teaching equipment have been effectively utilized, with the mobilization of various resources to expand the campus, build theoretical classrooms, practical workshops, a sports center, and a school gate. Investment in modern equipment and machinery meets technical and technological requirements, creating a spacious and modern school.
The training program is built according to the framework program of the General Department of Vocational Training, referencing the training program of South Korea, updating with new techniques and technologies, and meeting production requirements.
The school serves as a bridge for friendly cooperation between Nghe An province, Vinh City, and Korean partners, contributing to building friendly cooperative relations between Vietnam and Korea.
In 2013, the school successfully completed its student recruitment efforts and maintained strong relationships with businesses. The school sent 20 teachers for training in Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia, trained and provided vocational skills to over 50 teachers from northern provinces, and conducted pilot vocational skills assessments for 100 workers under a project from South Korea and the General Department of Vocational Training. It also wrote 30 textbooks and invested over 20 billion VND in building workshops and training equipment. At the National Self-Made Vocational Training Equipment Competition, the school won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 2 third prizes. In addition, one project won a third prize and another received an honorable mention at the Nghe An Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Competition. The school's students won the Nghe An Provincial University and College Football Championship, second prize in the Central Province University and College Football Championship, and the Nghe An Provincial University and College Teacher Football and Volleyball Championship.
Recognizing the achievements made over the years, the school has received numerous commendations from central and local organizations. The school is honored to have received the Second Class Labor Medal from the President of Vietnam and the Emulation Flag from the People's Committee of Nghe An province. These achievements are a source of pride for generations of teachers and students, contributing to affirming the school's position in the development of Vietnam's vocational training sector.
