Con Cuong farmers join forces to do irrigation

(Baonghean.vn) - SlightOn October 9, Con Cuong District Farmers' Association mobilized hundreds of members to work on irrigation and environmental sanitation.

This is an annual activity, 2-3 times a year, aimed at cleaning the environment, clearing sewers, dredging, digging and filling drainage ditches, filling potholes, repairing damaged road sections; clearing both sides of the road, collecting and treating waste, rebuilding embankments, clearing traffic safety corridors...

Currently, there are about 12,000/15,000 members from 11/13 communes participating. There are 110/126 farmer associations in the district participating well in the maintenance of rural roads, inter-commune and intra-field roads with a length of nearly 1,320 km.

The district has assigned delegations of officials to inspect and direct the grassroots to repair and upgrade the irrigation system, clear and repair irrigation canals, dams and irrigation works damaged by floods, and speed up the construction progress of irrigation works.

At the same time, the plan "all people join forces to build irrigation traffic from October 16 to November 30, 2017" was implemented with specific tasks.
