Mountainous farmer in Nghe An catches "giant" oyster
(Baonghean.vn) - In the past few days, many people have come to Mr. Ngan Van Binh's house in hamlet 5, Nghia Duc commune (Nghia Dan) to see the nearly 1kg oyster that his son caught in the pond.
The oyster is 19cm long, 33cm at its widest waist, more than 15cm wide and has a circumference of 49cm, is grayish-brown with a yellow border, very different from other oysters of the same species.

This was the first time the local people had seen such a huge oyster. Many were surprised because the oyster was in a natural pond. Suspecting that the oyster had a pearl, many curious people came to see it.

Mr. Ngan Van Thao, Mr. Binh's son, the person who directly caught the mussel, said: "On April 4, I went down to the pond to fish and caught this mussel. I saw that it was bigger than normal. I brought it home and weighed it and it weighed 0.8 kg."
Many people came to see and wanted to buy his son at a high price, but Mr. Thao did not sell him and instead kept him in a pond near his house./.
