Upstream of Cua land, Nghia Hoan commune,Tan Ky district, we went to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung's high-tech duck farm. It was a very hot day, but when we stepped into the duck farm that Mr. Hung said was high-tech, we felt an unexpectedly cool and clean feeling, even though at this time there were thousands of ducks almost ready to be sold.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung said, before investing in the duck farmhigh technologyIn this case, he has been exploring and learning from experience in some models in the Northern provinces. Realizing that this is an effective model, helping to save costs, labor and avoid the risk of environmental pollution as well as diseases for ducks, in 2021 he boldly invested.
With a capital of 4.5 billion VND, he was leased the abandoned land previously exploited for brick and tile production by the local government. He built 3 high-tech duck farms. Each farm has an area of 1,000m2.2, raising 5,000 meat ducks/batch.
The most impressive thing is the buildings.duck farmingInside each house is installed a plastic mesh floor, designed about 50 cm above the ground so that the ducks can stay on a high, airy, clean floor.
The ceiling is designed with insulation foam, and the two sides are installed with a water cooling panel system, along with an exhaust fan to regulate the temperature, always fluctuating between 25 - 30 degrees Celsius. In addition, the drinking water system and automatic feeding trough chain also help workers save effort and time feeding the ducks.
Therefore, Mr. Hung's farm does not raise ducks in ponds in the traditional way, but raises them in a completely closed, cool house. Ducks are raised using high technology and are fully vaccinated against diseases from the time they are brought to the farm until they are sold, so the success rate is high.
"The high-tech barn is equipped with a steam cooling system and exhaust fans; all care from food, water... is automated. Therefore, the farm only uses 4 regular workers. All duck waste is also treated with a Biogas tank. Therefore, even raising thousands of ducks at once, the environment is still guaranteed," Mr. Hung shared.
Mr. Hung added that the reason he invested like this was because he had partnered with a business to raise ducks for processing. Accordingly, the entire barn system was invested by the family; the breeding stock, food, medicine, farming techniques, etc. were provided by the business. After 45 - 50 days of care, the ducks will be sold, and the business will pay the breeder 6,000 VND/kg of duck. Mr. Hung said that each year this model sells 25,000 ducks, deducting the cost of each duck for a net profit of 10,000 VND, the family earns about 250 million VND.
It is known that in addition to this model, currently, some farmers in Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Nam Dan districts and some other districts have appeared a high-tech duck farming model in air-conditioned houses. This is a new investment direction in livestock farming, disease-free, bringing profits to farmers./.
