Nghe An farmers propose many ideas and recommendations to the Prime Minister

On the morning of May 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 4th Prime Minister's Dialogue with Vietnamese Farmers, held in Son La.

The conference was attended by ministers from various sectors; 300 typical farmers representing 12 million farmer households nationwide, scientists, businesses, cooperatives and 62 connecting points in localities across the country.
At Nghe An bridge, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired. Also participating were departments, branches, representatives of farmers' associations and cooperatives in the province.

Conference of Prime Minister's dialogue with farmers in 2022with the theme "Supporting farmers; implementing sustainable agricultural and rural development strategies" is the main event in a series of activities held in Son La province.
This is a forum for representatives of farmers, agricultural cooperatives, enterprises, organizations, individuals, and scientists operating in the fields of agriculture and rural areas nationwide to directly reflect to the Government and the Prime Minister on difficulties and obstacles in implementing the tasks of developing agriculture, farmers, and rural areas; especially the process of restructuring agriculture, restoring the supply chain after the COVID-19 pandemic; and the implementation of the Strategy for Sustainable Agricultural and Rural Development for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Through the conference organizing committee, nearly 1,600 questions were sent to the head of the Government. In an open and frank spirit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a dialogue with farmers on the following contents: Group of solutions to restore agricultural production after the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the situation of high prices of agricultural input materials; Land issues and mechanisms for farmers and cooperatives to be allocated land long-term, stabilizing production.
Issues of promotionFarmer-Business Linkage Chain, especially promoting the role of agricultural cooperatives; issues of capital and credit; rural environment; vocational training for rural workers; labor migration from rural areas to the city associated with the story of leaving the countryside but not leaving the homeland; Attracting businesses to invest in agriculture... were also discussed frankly.
In particular, the 4th Conference of the Prime Minister's Dialogue with Farmers has many new points such as: The participation of cooperatives, experts, scientists and businesses operating in the agricultural sector to ask questions, including many issues related to the agricultural and rural policy, consulting and deciding on solutions to current shortcomings...

At the conference, the Prime Minister and representatives of ministries and branches directly answered farmers' concerns and difficulties; directed ministries and branches to promptly resolve them so that farmers can confidently invest in restoring production and business; recommendations and proposals from farmers, experts and scientists will be compiled and submitted to the Government for consideration and decision to develop synchronous, reasonable and practical policies and solutions to successfully implement the goals of the Strategy for Sustainable Agricultural and Rural Development to 2030, with a vision to 2050.

To participate in the Prime Minister's dialogue conference with farmers in 2022,Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Associationdirected the Association at all levels to collect opinions, recommendations, and proposals from cadres and farmer members throughout the province. Accordingly, there were 44 wishes and recommendations, the Provincial Farmers' Association compiled 10 opinions to propose at the conference.
Accordingly, the recommendations focus on the following contents: Policies to support price stabilization of input materials for agricultural production such as: Fertilizers, animal feed, gasoline; Issues of fertilizer quality management, production of fake fertilizers, poor quality fertilizers; Solutions to promote the linkage of 4 parties in agricultural production, linking production with processing and consumption of products; Attracting investment in agriculture; Issues of planning production areas associated with consumption markets; Issues of supporting farmers when reclaiming production land...

Participating in this series of events, Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association coordinated with the Provincial Post Office to bring942 products in the area are on the Posmat floorand selected nearly 100 products from 7 business units to participate in 4 booths at the Fruit and OCOP Product Festival in Son La.
