Nghe An farmers enthusiastically mobilize to build traffic and irrigation works

In recent days, all levelsFarmers AssociationFocus on directing and guiding farmers to deploy irrigation, transportation, and new rural areas, strengthen the work of preventing saline intrusion, floods, and waterlogging in urban areas.

Nghi Loc:The District Farmers' Association organized a campaign to dredge canals and clear the flow at Nha La Bridge Canal, Khanh Hop Commune with a length of more than 2km.

At the launch, the District Farmers' Association mobilized nearly 150 officials and members of Khanh Hop commune to participate in dredging about 20 tons of water hyacinth, restoring the canals. This activity also aims to help the fields of Nghi Thach and Khanh Hop limit localized flooding during the rainy season.

This time, the Nghi Trung Commune Farmers' Association also coordinated with the Commune Military Command to help farmers who are in quarantine to harvest rice. During the day, the Association helped 19 households.

Mr. Son:Responding to the movement "Green, clean, beautiful - Friendly light", the Farmers' Association of Village 1, Khai Son Commune coordinated with the people to clean up the village roads, the village cultural house area; and made flower beds for the village women's association. In the morning, more than 70 households of officials and farmers participated.

Nam Dan:People mobilized to clean the environment from home to field, take care of and plant new rows of “Farmers Thank Uncle Ho” trees. 19/19 association bases in Nam Dan district mobilized to beautify the environment, clear sewers, and prepare for winter-spring rice production with a spirit of urgency, solidarity, and efficiency.

Vinh City:8/8 farmers' associations of Hung Hoa commune have joined forces to dredge, collect duckweed, and clear irrigation canals to serve production and raise funds for the association.

Dien Chau:32/37 Farmers' Associations of the communes simultaneously launched a campaign to clean up the environment, take care of farmer trees, flower roads,... collect waste on the wings.

Thanh Chuong:Farmers of 38/38 communes and towns actively launched campaigns to build traffic and irrigation works on October 25.

Pursuant to Directive No. 35/CT-UBND dated October 9, 2021 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on organizing a nationwide campaignirrigation, traffic, new rural areas, strengthening the work of preventing drought, saltwater intrusion, floods and urban flooding in 2021, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association issued Official Dispatch No. 180-CV/HNDT dated October 15, 2021 "on mobilizing the entire population to join forces to do irrigation, traffic, new rural areas, strengthening the work of preventing saltwater intrusion, floods and urban flooding".

The organization of the campaign to build irrigation traffic, dredge canals, drain water to serve agricultural production, environmental sanitation, beautify villages, and build new rural areas has received active participation and response from cadres and members of the Farmers' Association throughout the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Nguyen Hong Son said: The Provincial Farmers' Association will continue to direct the Farmers' Associations at all levels to continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and call on all members to join hands and contribute to building irrigation canal systems, intra-field traffic to serve agricultural production and aquaculture; perfecting the rural traffic system; raising people's awareness in environmental sanitation, beautifying villages and hamlets, in order to contribute to changing the face of rural areas and towns and speeding up the progress of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the area.
