Farmers in Nghia Dan contribute 25 billion VND to build new rural areas.

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 2nd, the Nghia Dan District Farmers' Association held a conference to commend exemplary farmers who have made outstanding contributions to the patriotic emulation movement and the joint effort to build new rural areas during the 2010-2015 period. The conference was attended by 54 delegates representing over 19,000 members of the Farmers' Association in Nghia Dan district.

Rewarding individuals

Over the past year, the Nghia Dan District Farmers' Association organized 749 training courses on science and technology with 35,671 participants, 107 short-term vocational training courses for 3,407 farmer members, established 43 interest groups and 35 cooperatives, managed over 85 billion VND in entrusted loans from the Social Policy Bank, and established 102 savings groups. At the beginning of 2015, there were 4,550 households recognized as outstanding producers and business owners at all levels, an increase of 226% compared to 2010.

In addition, the Farmers' Association at all levels in Nghia Dan district also mobilized members to voluntarily donate more than 290,000 square meters of land.²Land, nearly 4,800 meters of fence, over 56,000 trees of various types, 17 community projects were built, and over 25 billion VND and thousands of man-days of labor were contributed to jointly build new rural areas.

On this occasion, the Nghia Dan District Farmers' Association awarded commendations to 2 collectives and 4 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement during the 2010-2015 period. The conference also included the signing of an emulation agreement for the 2015-2020 period between the District Farmers' Association and the Farmers' Associations of 25 communes and towns, with the following objectives: a 15-20% annual increase in the number of households excelling in production and business, 80-85% of member families achieving the title of "Cultural Family," and 100% of grassroots associations successfully completing their tasks…
