Farmers of Nghia Minh (Nghia Dan) contribute more than 53 billion VND to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 19, Nghia Minh commune (Nghia Dan) held a ceremony to receive the National New Rural Standard certificate.

Nghia Minh Commune is located in the North of Nghia Dan District, with National Highway 15A and Provincial Road 598 passing through. Nearly 20 km from the district center, Nghia Minh has a very favorable geographical location for economic development, communication and exchange of goods with neighboring areas.

After 5 years of building the new rural area, 100% of the main roads of Nghia Minh communes and inter-commune roads have been asphalted or concreted to meet the technical standards of the Ministry of Transport; 50% of the alleys and hamlets are clean and not muddy in the rainy season and are hardened. Nghia Minh has donated land and cleared construction works to make the roads reach 57,600m.²equivalent to 2,304 billion VND.

Up to now, 70% of schools in the area have met national standards. Average income per capita is 18 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate is 6.1%. Health stations have met national standards, the rate of people participating in health insurance is over 70%; 6/8 hamlets have met cultural village standards, reaching 75%; the Party Committee is clean and strong, the government has excellently completed its tasks...

To achieve the above results, in the process of building the new rural area, Nghia Minh commune mobilized more than 146 billion VND, of which people contributed more than 53 billion VND...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vi Luu Binh - Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development praised and acknowledged the achievements that the cadres and people of Nghia Minh commune have achieved. In the coming time, the commune will continue to promote self-reliance and solidarity to build Nghia Minh commune increasingly prosperous.
