Although the exploitation cycle has not yet reached, due to lack of capital for production investment and the need to cover living expenses, many forest planting households in Quy Chau have had to sell young forests; the consequences are low productivity, low prices, and decreased profits.
Mr. Lo Thuan in Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau) said that his family has just sold 2.5 hectares of acacia trees nearly 4 years old, with a yield of 65 tons/ha. With a price of 1 million VND/ton, his family only earned nearly 40 million VND/ha after deducting investment costs and care costs.

Meanwhile, according to some acacia buyers, if the acacia is 6-7 years old or older, the yield will reach over 140 tons/ha, with revenue reaching about 140 million VND/ha.
The entire Chau Binh commune has over 500 hectares of acacia, harvesting 100 - 120 hectares of acacia every year, most of which are under-aged acacia. Mr. Luong Van Dai - Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Binh commune shared: The locality really hopes to have businesses and units that purchase products to sign contracts with people to plant large timber forests, increasing economic efficiency.

According to Mr. Le Hai Ly - Head of the Department of Agriculture of Quy Chau, the whole district has over 20,000 hectares of acacia forest, annually harvesting over 2,000 hectares of acacia, of which the area of young acacia accounts for more than 30%. With the acacia areas harvested not in the right exploitation cycle, the profit will decrease by about 20 million VND/ha. Currently, the locality has directed the communes to carry out propaganda and explanation work so that people understand the losses when selling young acacia.
In the long term, Quy Chau district continues to mobilize people to plant large timber forests to both increase economic value and contribute to developing forestry in the area in an effective and sustainable direction./.

When the acacia tree "takes root"
(Baonghean) - Having been present in Con Cuong for 15 years, but only in recent years has the acacia tree really "taken root" on this land. Seeing the benefits from this tree, the people here decided to stick with it and consider it one of the main crops...
Developing hybrid acacia is difficult.
In recent times, Ky Son has benefited from many afforestation projects, thanks to which the area of planted forests in general and the area of hybrid acacia trees in particular in the district has increased. However, the development of hybrid acacia trees here still has many problems and does not bring high efficiency.
