Understanding the consumption needs of people in the summer days is to use cool vegetables such as: amaranth, Malabar spinach, jute... Mrs. Bui Thi Ngoc's family in village 6, Thach Son commune has rotated to grow 3 sao of various vegetables. With the characteristics of short-term vegetables, and good irrigation care, Mrs. Ngoc's family's "mixed" vegetable garden was harvested after 30 days. To make it easier to sell, Mrs. Ngoc often bundles different types of vegetables together, each bundle costs 3,000 - 5,000 VND, on average, Mrs. Ngoc earns at least 100,000 VND per day.
As for Ms. Tran Thi Hoa's family in village 6, Thach Son commune, they chose pumpkin as the main crop for their family. Although pumpkin is grown out of season, thanks to the technique and favorable weather, her family's 3 sao of pumpkin has a high yield, reaching 1 ton/sao. The pumpkin is harvested by Ms. Hoa to import to traders. With a price of 2.7 - 3 million VND/ton, this year's pumpkin crop, Ms. Hoa earned 9 million VND, 2 - 3 times higher than growing corn.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dong - Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Thach Son commune said: Currently, farmers in the commune are quite active and flexible in choosing crops for each crop, especially in hot weather, the demand for vegetables is even greater, so the locality encourages people to expand the vegetable growing area in areas with proactive irrigation water. In addition, the Women's Union of the commune also established a clean vegetable growing club of 4 hectares with 50 members participating. Members are trained to grow clean vegetables, use pesticides in the right dosage, intensive technical processes... to supply the market.

This summer-autumn crop, the entire Anh Son district planted 380 hectares of various vegetables such as squash, bitter melon, cucumber, watermelon, etc., concentrated in the communes of Cam Son, Thach Son, Phuc Son, and Tao Son. With a variety of vegetables using rotation and intercropping methods, Anh Son has been able to develop safe vegetable areas.
