(Baonghean.vn) - On the mountain tops thousands of meters above sea level, plots of land are nestled between large rocks, fields are littered with small rocks... But with diligence and hard work, people still dig the land, turn over rocks to grow clean vegetables to supply the market, bringing in a stable income.
Decades ago, the people of Na Luong 1 village (Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district) crossed the high mountains to the top of Khe Nhinh to reclaim land for wet rice cultivation. However, growing rice only once a year did not bring high economic efficiency. By 2015, the pilot model of growing clean vegetables in Ky Son district had opened up a new direction for the people. With a unique micro-climate, Ky Son is currently focusing on promoting the formation of specialized vegetable growing areas in the direction of clean production and organic production. In addition to planning growing areas; supporting seeds, materials and providing scientific and technical guidance, the building of brands and trademarks for Ky Son vegetable products is also emphasized. From there, finding ways to connect outputs, consuming products for people, helping people have sustainable livelihoods, stable incomes, and gradually escape poverty...
