Hot: Thai football team recruits goalkeeper Dang Van Lam

Dang Van Lam's contract with Muangthong United is for three years, with a salary of more than 10,000 USD per month. Immediately after the end of the 2019 Asian Cup, the Vietnamese goalkeeper will go to Thailand to join his new team.

Van Lam has just had a successful year in his career. He is the goalkeeper who has conceded the fewest goals in V-League 2018 and won the AFF Cup with the Vietnamese team. His impressive performance made Muangthong United immediately spend a lot of money to recruit him, by buying out Van Lam's one-year contract with Hai Phong.

Previously, Hai Phong had rejected offers from clubs in Vietnam, China and Indonesia. The leaders of the port city team said that Van Lam is the most popular star in the club at the moment so they wanted to keep him. However, the attractive amount of money that Muangthong United offered made them change their mind.

The Thai football giant will also give Van Lam special treatment. In addition to his salary, he will also be provided with a house and a private car. However, he will have to compete for the starting position with goalkeepers Kampol Pathom-attakul, Prasit Padungchok and Sutthipong Pisansarb.

Van Lam is currently preparing for the Asian Cup with the Vietnamese national team, so he refused to comment on the transfer. According to Coach Park Hang-seo's regulations, no player is allowed to speak without the consent of the coaching staff.
