(Baonghean) - People across the country are paying close attention to the 12th National Party Congress. In response to that interest, information and images about the Congress were promptly transmitted by more than 650 reporters and technicians from domestic and foreign news agencies for publication... Space 1,000m2The 12th Congress Press Center is "hotter" than ever.

According to the announcement, the preparatory session of the 12th Congress will take place at 7:30 a.m. on January 20, but from very early on, the Press Center serving the Congress was really bustling with professional activities of hundreds of reporters and technicians. The space was almost filled with the sound of keyboards being tapped, occasionally mixed with whispers of work exchanges; technicians were busy running back and forth like shuttles to check and adjust equipment for reporters to work.

Everyone tried to convey information and images of the first activities of the Congress as soon as possible, when the delegation had just finished its schedule of visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, commemorating the heroic martyrs and preparing to start the preparatory session. The delegation's schedule was so urgent that the journalists had to work very hard to compete against time.

The press center serving the Congress is located on the 3rd floor of the National Convention Center, with an area of over 1,000m2.2 divided into 2 areas: the central area serving domestic press and the area serving foreign press.

To best serve the reporters' work, the computer system of 170 computers has been directly connected to a high-speed internet network and added a wifi network with a special password "Dangcongsanvietnam" that is always ready to "join" the reporters' personal computers.

In addition, many large screens are arranged around to transmit images and sounds of the opening and closing sessions of the Congress to reporters. To ensure confidentiality of information work as well as security for the Congress, this time, the Organizing Committee stipulates that reporters and technicians are not allowed to bring personal phones into the center. For communication needs, a landline phone system is ready to serve.

Working at the Press Center, the impression comes not only from the grandeur and grandeur of the working space, but also from the enthusiastic and effective help and support from the technical and information support team from the Central Post Office (CPT). Just a little concern about difficulty accessing the internet or an unstable connection for a reporter sitting in the center, immediately a staff member will approach to provide detailed instructions.

The technicians in dark blue vests received great sympathy from the press reporters. Mr. Nguyen Hong Duong, in charge of the CPT group, said: “The CPT technical support and information support group at the Press Center consists of 20 people directly managing the 080 landline telephone system, high-speed internet including wired network, wifi and postal services... It is our honor to serve at the Press Center, supporting the information and propaganda work from the Congress to all parts of the country and even abroad.”

With its large area and thorough equipment, the Press Center can easily overwhelm anyone who enters for the first time. Journalist Viet Dung, Da Nang Newspaper, felt: "The first time reporting on the National Party Congress, I was late and was not allowed to attend the opening ceremony or press conference before the Congress, so everything was strange. The most difficult thing for me was the rule that mobile phones were not allowed in the center. All contact numbers with colleagues and the editorial office were saved in the device, so when needed, I had to fumble around for a long time to resolve it."

However, the professionalism of the Press Center serving the 12th National Party Congress not only surprised reporters and journalists who were reporting for the first time, but also made experienced ones a little confused. A new feature in the regulations for reporters and journalists working at this Congress is the appearance of the "Press Handbook". It clearly states that reporters who want to "clear" the security gate to enter the center must have a magnetic card from the Organizing Committee.

According to the Board of Directors of the 12th Congress Press Center, although it was only a preparatory session, a large number of domestic and foreign journalists and technical staff registered to be present at the center to both work and select options for the opening session to have the best images and angles of the Congress. Through the summary of security work, out of more than 600 domestic journalists and technical staff and about 100 foreign journalists and technical staff, there were basically present on the first working day of the session.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Director of the 12th Congress Press Center emphasized: "Compared to previous Congresses, the 12th Congress has a much larger number of journalists, reporters, and technicians from domestic and foreign press agencies registering.

A new feature in the propaganda work of the 12th Congress is that many major news agencies have also registered to cover the news, such as Al Jazeera in the Middle East, AFP, CCTV, Akahata, Chanel, New Asia, Xinhua News Agency, Reuters, BBC, NHK... In particular, for the first time, the 12th Congress has had press from the overseas Vietnamese community, such as Phobolsa TV and Viet Weekly (USA), also registering to send reporters to cover the news.

This can be considered a very good thing, because many foreign news agencies and the overseas Vietnamese community have reported on it, proving that the world and overseas Vietnamese are very interested in Vietnam and through continuously updated news, they have more widely informed about the Party, the nation, and the image of Vietnam to the world.

The 12th National Congress has officially begun and the 12th National Congress Press Center has become a meeting place for professional journalists at home and abroad. With professional responsibility, from the Press Center, the latest information about the 12th National Congress of the Party is conveyed, connecting the information rhythm between the Party and the people, and at the same time contributing to showing the international community a united, democratic Vietnam that always has an open foreign policy.
