(Baonghean.vn)- After lunch on April 1, dozens of workers at a company in Nam Cam Industrial Park (Nghe An) had strange symptoms and had to be hospitalized urgently.

After lunch at the company, workers began to experience dizziness, nausea and stomach aches.
Immediately, dozens of other workers showed similar symptoms and were taken to the emergency room.
BSE currently has nearly 5,000 workers. The poisoning incident caused many workers to be hospitalized. It is known that for a long time, another company has been supplying meals for BSE workers. On April 1, when another company just started supplying, this incident happened.

According to information from Nghe An Newspaper reporters present at the hospital, about 30 workers have been hospitalized, many others are being taken to the emergency room. Nghe An 115 Hospital mobilized 10 ambulances to continue transporting workers for treatment.

At around 3:00 p.m., the Nghe An Food Safety Department and provincial authorities were present at the factory and hospital to investigate the incident.

By 3:30 p.m., 8 more people were hospitalized, bringing the number of hospitalized workers to 38. Doctor Nguyen Hoang Manh - Hospital 115 said that the condition of the hospitalized patients is currently stable, not critical and is being monitored.

Representatives of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board and BSE company representatives were present at the hospital to grasp the situation.

By 4 p.m., about 44 workers had been hospitalized. Doctors said it was likely food poisoning. Some people did not eat but felt dizzy while other workers were poisoned, possibly due to herd syndrome.

BSE Vietnam Electronics Factory is invested by BSE Electronics Co., Ltd. in Nam Cam Industrial Park, Nghe An. It is a 100% Korean-invested company, belonging to BSE Group, specializing in manufacturing electronic and telecommunications components and equipment in Nam Cam Industrial Park with a total investment of 30 million USD on an area of ​​5.7 hectares, with a production scale of 250 million products/year.

On the afternoon of April 1, representatives of the Nghe An Department of Health and relevant agencies were present at the BSE factory in Nam Cam Industrial Park to collect food samples and investigate the cause of the mass poisoning. At the hospital, 17 workers were discharged after first aid.
