On the evening of November 8, People's Artist Thanh Tuan was admitted to the hospital due to gastric bleeding. According to information from his manager, his health is now stable and is being monitored.
According to information from People's Artist Thanh Tuan's management on November 9, the male artist's health has gradually recovered after being taken to the hospital for treatment on the evening of November 8 due to signs of gastric bleeding. Currently, his condition is diagnosed as not serious and is being monitored until he is completely stable.
Current health status
The manager said that People's Artist Thanh Tuan has some underlying diseases, so his health is unstable and he has to go to the hospital regularly for check-ups. Although he is undergoing treatment, he still maintains his teaching job at the Vong Co Art Teaching Center that he founded. Many students have sent their regards, hoping that he will recover soon so that he can return to his work of training the younger generation.
This is not the first time this year that the veteran artist has faced serious health problems. At the end of March, People's Artist Thanh Tuan was hospitalized at Cho Ray Hospital and treated with ECMO (artificial heart-lung machine) due to heart disease. After heart surgery on March 26, he overcame the critical stage and gradually recovered, was able to eat by himself and recognize his relatives after a week of treatment.
During that time, many fellow artists such as People's Artist Bach Tuyet, People's Artist Le Thuy, People's Artist Kim Cuong and People's Artist Minh Vuong visited and encouraged him. His family also had to warn the audience not to call for donations or financial support to avoid cases of fraud and profiteering.

People's Artist Thanh Tuan is one of the veteran singers of the golden generation of Southern Cai Luong theater. He has established a solid position thanks to his unique vọng cổ singing style with a warm, deep voice. This style was later adopted by many generations of artists and is called "Thanh Tuan school".
After 1975, People's Artist Thanh Tuan continued to affirm his talent through a series of classic cai luong plays. The role of Huy Binh in the play "Finding Life Again" (sung with Meritorious Artist My Chau) is considered one of the typical roles of the southern cai luong stage. In addition, he also left a strong impression through famous modern and traditional love songs such as "The Girl Watering Beans" (with People's Artist Thanh Kim Hue), "The River of My Hometown" (with People's Artist Le Thuy) and solo songs such as "Remembering Nha Trang" and "The Tay Ninh Bus Journey".
