At the age of 55 and a grandfather, Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai had to sacrifice a lot for the role of Luu, both in appearance and health. Just one noise outside and the whole crew had to reshoot. "In the movie, the scene of carrying goods looks simple, but in reality, I had to do it dozens of times, sweat ran into my eyes, my nose stung. It was really hard," he said.

Both Hoang Hai and Thanh Huong had to work as real porters in the movie.

One day, Hoang Hai was pulling a cart uphill and his leg was sprained, causing it to swell and hurt a lot, but the next day he still had to do his best to complete the scene.

With the role of Luu, Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai must portray the life of a worker as realistically as possible, so the actor must portray all the difficulties, obstacles and misfortunes that come to Luu as realistically as possible. When asked about the ending with the character Luyen, Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai said that Luu had loved her for a long time. However, because he was old and a single father, the way Luu expressed his feelings for Luyen was different, rude, clumsy but also humorous and adorable.
