During the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement, Nguyen Thi Nha and her younger sister Nguyen Thi Phuc had many activities to propagate the Party's policies to the people in the villages, fanning the flames of the people's struggle.

Nguyen Thi Nha was born in 1911 in Kim Cam village, Kim Nguyen commune (now Nghi Trung commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province). Her father was the Confucian scholar Nguyen Duc Dong and her mother was Cao Thi Tao. The people always respected Dong and his wife, affectionately called Mr. and Mrs. Han Thuong. Mr. Han Thuong's family had a tradition of patriotism, continuously participating in movements from Can Vuong of Ton That Thuyet to Dong Du of Phan Boi Chau.

Nguyen Thi Nha is the fourth daughter of the family. As a child, Nguyen Thi Nha learned Chinese and Vietnamese at the village school taught by her father. Being intelligent, bright and hard-working, she studied very well. After completing the basic program in Nghi Loc district, Nguyen Thi Nha and Nguyen Thi Phuc were sent by Mr. and Mrs. Han Thuong to study at Nguyen Truong To school in Vinh city. From Nguyen Truong To school, both sisters passed the entrance exam to Cao Xuan Duc school.

During their time studying at Cao Xuan Duc School, they became friends with female students of the same age such as Nguyen Thi Vinh (Nguyen Thi Minh Khai), Nguyen Thi Quang Thai, Tran Thi Lien, Nguyen Thi Nhuan. Fortunately for her and the female students of Cao Xuan Duc School, they were taught and guided by good teachers with patriotic spirit such as Tran Phu, Ha Huy Tap, Tran Mong Bach, Tran Van Tang.

In 1927, the revolutionary movement in Nghe An developed under the leadership of two revolutionary organizations, the Tan Viet Party and the Thanh Nien Party (ie the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association). At that time, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was assigned by the Tan Viet Party to build and develop the revolutionary organization in Vinh city and Nghi Loc district. She relied on patriotic Confucian families such as the descendants of Nguyen Thuc Tu, Nguyen Duc Dong, and Nguyen Nang Canh in Nghi Loc district as a basis for propaganda and mobilizing the youth to join the Tan Viet Party.

After being assigned challenging tasks, on a mid-March afternoon in 1928, at Pho Mon Pagoda, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, on behalf of the Party organization, held an admission ceremony for comrades Nguyen Thi Nha, Nguyen Thi Phuc, Nguyen Duc Duong and two sisters Nguyen Thi Xan and Nguyen Thi Thiu into the Tan Viet Party organization.

In mid-1928, the revolutionary movement developed, the Party needed money to buy tools, paper and ink to print leaflets, Minh Khai asked Nha to go to Vinh to work, in charge of building funds and printing documents. In addition to financial work, Nguyen Thi Nha also worked in communications from Vinh to Nghi Loc district.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the day of protest against imperialist war (August 1) and the 12th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7, 1917 - November 7, 1929), the Central Region Party Committee had a policy of mobilizing the masses to hang the red hammer and sickle flag, distribute leaflets, participate in rallies and demonstrations to protest the war and support the Russian proletarian revolution.

Leaflets and newspapers from Vinh city printed by her younger sister Nguyen Thi Phuc were promptly delivered by Nguyen Thi Nha to the people in the villages, fanning the flames of the people's struggle. Many large struggles and demonstrations broke out under the leadership of the Indochinese Communist Party, marking a turning point in the history of the nation's struggle. In that common victory, there were effective contributions from the two sisters Nguyen Thi Nha and Nguyen Thi Phuc.

In February 1930, after the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded, comrade Nguyen Phong Sac, Secretary of the Central Region Party Committee, advocated selecting outstanding comrades from the Party's predecessor organizations to join the Communist Party. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nha, Nguyen Thi Phuc, Nguyen Thi Nhuan, Tran Thi Lien, Nguyen Thi Xan, Nguyen Thi Thiu, and Ton Thi Que were all transferred to join the first class of the Communist Party of Nghe An Province Party Committee.

In April 1930, Nghi Loc District Party Committee organized a Congress of delegates at Nguyen Thuc Tu's church to elect the provisional District Party Committee Executive Committee. Comrade Nguyen Thuc Man was elected as the first District Party Committee Secretary. Nguyen Thi Nha was elected to the District Party Committee Executive Committee, in charge of propaganda and mobilization work. After that, with the consent of the General Committee and comrade Nguyen Thuc Man, comrade Nguyen Thi Nha established the Kim Cam Party Cell and she was elected as Secretary.

Nguyen Thi Nha's movements were monitored by secret agents. On October 15, 1930, she and many other party members, Red Self-Defense Force, and Red Peasant Association members were arrested and imprisoned in Vinh prison. They tied her up and led her to prisons to ask fellow prisoners to identify her, but all of them shook their heads and said they did not know her. After more than a month of imprisonment, torture, and brutal beatings, she still gritted her teeth and endured, not revealing a single word. Unable to find evidence to charge Nguyen Thi Nha and unable to prolong her detention, the enemy had to release her.

At the end of 1931, due to a secret report from a traitor, soldiers raided the house, arrested both father and son Nguyen Thi Nha and Nguyen Duc Dong and took them to Vinh prison. At this time, the younger sister Nguyen Thi Phuc was elected by the sisters in prison to be the Secretary of the Party Cell of the female political prisoners' cell. It was truly touching that the three father and son of Mr. Dong, who had participated in the revolution, had a reunion in the scene of chains, shackles, and whips of the colonialists and feudalists.

On January 18, 1932, comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh, Secretary of Nghi Loc District Party Committee, was also arrested. Since Nguyen Thi Nha and Nguyen Duy Trinh were added to Vinh prison, the oral newspaper founded by comrade Ho Tung Mau in prison was supplemented with many sharp writers. In addition to their journalism work, comrade Nguyen Thi Nha and her father also participated in the play "Red Blood Drop" written by comrades Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Duy Trinh.

In 1935, in France, the Popular Front won the election and took power. The French Communist Party demanded that the Socialist Party force the Blum Government to expand democratic rights; and demanded that the French colonialists release political prisoners in the colonies.

After nearly 4 years of imprisonment, Nguyen Thi Nha was released from prison. On September 20, 1936, Nguyen Thi Nha was elected to the delegation to attend the Indochina Congress at the Quang Tri Hall in Vinh. She was one of three delegates from Nghe An province elected by the Congress to attend the Indochina Congress of the Central Region in Hue, to demand all legitimate rights for the Vietnamese people during the Democratic Front period.

On February 23, 1937, Nguyen Thi Nha was nominated by the Provincial Women's Democratic Association to join the delegation led by comrade Ha Huy Giap, to welcome Goda - the envoy of the French Popular Front Government to Vinh, to present the petition to Goda. Afterwards, the Provincial Women's Democratic Association sent her to establish and take charge of the Nghi Loc district women's textile workshop.

At the end of 1939, World War II broke out. On July 20, 1940, the Central Intelligence Agency Chief So Nhi and the Nghe An Intelligence Agency Chief Humber ordered the hunt for and arrest of communists. Hundreds of revolutionary soldiers were arrested, and communists who were considered “stubborn” were transferred to Khanh Hoa prison, including comrades Nguyen Thi Nha, Nguyen Thi Xan, Nguyen Thi Thiu, Ton Thi Que, Ho Thi Nhung, Hoang Thi Ai…

Whether in Vinh prison or any other prison, Nguyen Thi Nha always believed, persevered, and fought with determination. In prison, she actively taught her sisters about culture and politics, turning the imperial prison into a revolutionary school.

On March 9, 1945, Japan staged a coup against France. On April 5, 1945, Japanese troops entered Khanh Hoa prison to disarm French troops and opened the prison doors to free political prisoners. Nguyen Thi Nha and many other comrades were released.

Upon returning home, Nguyen Thi Nha was immediately added to the uprising leadership, in charge of Women's Affairs and training of the Viet Minh Front Committee, participating in taking over the Nghi Loc district government.

After the country gained independence, she also took on many important positions in the Party, contributing effectively to the cause of building an increasingly prosperous country.

In 1964, Nguyen Thi Nha retired at Thanh Cong Collective Housing Area (Hanoi). She was an indomitable, resilient, brave, and courageous female soldier who fought and sacrificed her whole life for national independence and the cause of women's liberation.

For her contributions to the revolution, she was awarded many noble medals and orders by the Party and State.
- The Party Central Committee awarded the 50-year Party membership badge
- Second Class Independence Medal
- First Class Medal of Resistance Against France
- First Class Medal of Resistance War against America for National Salvation
- Soviet badge of Nghe Tinh…

Due to old age and poor health, she passed away on July 12, 1992, at the age of 92.
