Famous American actress shot dead by police due to mistake
Vanessa Marquez - actress of "ER" was shot dead by police because they mistakenly thought she was pointing a gun at them.
According toVariety, the police thought she was pointing a gun at them and opened fire. After checking, it turned out to be just an airsoft gun.

A local police officer named Joe Mendoza said they were called by a homeowner to Marquez's apartment in the 1100 block of Fremont Avenue for a welfare check at 12 noon that same day.
Upon arrival, police found Marquez in a state of seizure and unable to control herself. They called paramedics to attend to the actress.
After more than an hour of chatting, Marquez suddenly pointed an object that looked like a pistol at the police, causing them to suddenly open fire. However, after checking, the object Marquez was holding was just an airsoft gun.
After being shot, Marquez was rushed to the hospital but she did not survive. According to Joe Mendoza shared with the press, the "ER" actress seemed to be "having mental problems".
