The female Dancesport grandmaster is proud to be appointed as the Director of the Institute of Culture and Arts of the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City (UEF).

Dancesport Grandmaster Khanh Thi has just officially debuted as the Director of the UEF Institute of Culture and Arts. "Taking on the role of Director of a Culture and Arts Institute has been my long-standing dream. Previously, Khanh Thi and Phan Hien focused on sports dance, especially at the highest level, while also developing movements and organizing tournaments. Not stopping there, Khanh Thi wants to bring some art subjects into university lecture halls," she shared.

Khanh Thi is 5 months pregnant so she focuses on management, her husband is the one who teaches and trains with the athletes...

Besides the honor, Khanh Thi expressed the pressure of her new role. ''As someone who has moved from the entertainment and sports fields to formal training, I really need everyone's support. I also determined to work with the school to search for, discover and train talents in the fields of dancesport and art,'' Khanh Thi shared.

In addition to the goal of bringing dancesport and many other arts into student life, Khanh Thi hopes to support young people with potential to develop their passion, creating conditions for them to participate in professional arts or professional competitions.

Khanh Thi wore a princess-style dress with elaborate embellishments to hide her nearly 5-month pregnant belly.

The new Dean said that in college, she did not want to focus on sports dancing but wanted to develop the cultural and artistic field. Instead of joining clubs or taking entrance exams to regular schools, students at the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City can study many professional art subjects in the shortest time. The teaching staff are professionals who have trained many experienced students. This is also a launching pad for students to get closer to the entertainment industry such as participating in game shows, casting... and can find many Idols right in the classroom.

Khanh Thi expressed her desire to expand this model to primary and secondary schools, however, the career of educating people is a long journey so each step needs to be completed well.

"The good news is that dance sports has become an official subject at UEF University and students can choose to take this credit exam when graduating. Who knows, in the future we will have a class of young athletes and young artists from non-specialized schools. With the international cooperation relationship that has existed before, Khanh Thi hopes that her students will have more opportunities to compete not only domestically but also internationally," said the female grandmaster.

Circus artist couple Quoc Co and Hong Phuong came to congratulate Khanh Thi.
