China Press, a Chinese-language newspaper in Malaysia, yesterday published a photo of a female suspect holding up a blackened hand after attacking Kim Chol at the airport on February 13, with suspicions that the female suspect had quickly washed her hands and may have been poisoned. Malaysian police have not commented on this information.
The newspaper published the photos after Malaysian police said aOne of the two female suspects in Kim Jong Un's murder vomited due to the effects of VX nerve agent, the poison that killed Kim Jong Un, after the Malaysian Chemical Weapons Center analyzed samples taken from the victim's eyes and face.
VX is classified as a weapon of mass destruction by the United Nations. It is banned in Malaysia and is many times more powerful than the nerve agent sarin.
Earlier, Malaysian police chief Khalid Abu Bakar said the two female suspects used their bare hands and knew they were using poison to attack. They were also instructed to wash their hands after finishing.

The victim, Kim Chol, was said by South Korean officials and the Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister to be Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. However, North Korea has so far only confirmed that the victim was Kim Chol. The statement by the North Korean news agency KCNA about the incident did not mention Kim Jong-nam by name. Police need DNA, medical records and dental records to identify the body.
Malaysian police last week arrested a woman with a Vietnamese passport, an Indonesian woman and a North Korean man. They are also searching for seven other North Koreans in connection with the case, including a diplomat at the North Korean embassy.
The North Korean embassy in Malaysia said this week that the female suspects were innocent and that the male citizen died of other causes. Based on the Malaysian police statement, North Korea questioned why the women were still alive after attacking Kim Chol with poison with their bare hands.
