(Baonghean.vn) -In the information age, journalism plays a crucial role, societal demands are increasingly high, and pressures are also growing. For women to enter the field of journalism, passion is essential. Unlike men, when working in journalism, especially in the field of security, women must overcome many difficulties to successfully fulfill their duties.
With regular duties across all three media platforms—print, radio, and print—reporters in Nghe An Security are responsible for consistently carrying out propaganda work through mass media. On average, they produce 4 radio programs and 3 television programs per month, coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security's Security Television page to broadcast news articles on Vietnam Television (VTV) and ANTV, and promptly write news articles for central and local newspapers.
Having experienced the hardships of the profession, we understand that, as journalists, especially women, we all understand the advantages, difficulties, and challenges of the job. Being a journalist, particularly within the police force, requires extensive fieldwork and a high degree of honesty. By immersing ourselves in reality and gaining a deeper understanding of the profession, we have produced works that are both emotionally resonant and of high quality.

Our work as journalists involves many sleepless nights and loss of appetite, especially when there are news stories or reports that need to be published quickly in the media, but it has also helped me grow a great deal professionally.
Being a female journalist means facing many difficulties. We've made long journeys to border regions, into criminal hideouts to film police officers investigating cases, or closely monitoring crime scenes, filming rotting corpses, or sometimes having to protect our cameras from deranged suspects resisting arrest, or being at the scene of horrific fires… However, these hardships and difficulties did not deter us female reporters; on the contrary, they made us even more enthusiastic to go, because without going, we couldn't have a good report. Although there were difficulties and hardships, nothing compares to the struggles of many police officers who face all kinds of crime day and night. We want the soul in our works to reflect the achievements and accomplishments of police officers and to carry the breath of life.

Having chosen journalism as a profession, we women are all passionate about it. With our strengths and responsibilities, we have continuously learned, dedicated ourselves, and produced many valuable works that have won high awards at national and local journalism festivals. But the greatest reward is the positive impact our intellectual products have had on society. Without love and passion for the profession, women could not achieve the glory of being journalists.
As journalists, we understand that our families face certain disadvantages. Choosing journalism means we must balance work and family life. The self-imposed pressure stems from our concern that we cannot fulfill all our family responsibilities and duties.
Despite the heavy burden of family responsibilities, the love for their profession and passion for writing motivate female journalists to work diligently and creatively, finding inspiration to bring sweetness to life. Women in journalism also have an advantage in terms of gender, thanks to their gentleness, openness, and emotional nature... These qualities make it easy for them to penetrate reality, perceive the multifaceted pulse of life, and be sensitive to current issues; they easily guide subjects into stories to gather information, even the most sensitive information. This dispels the notion that women in journalism are weak and cannot withstand the pressure of a "unique" profession.
Journalism has also given us a deeper understanding of many different fields, honing our communication and interpersonal skills. Therefore, despite the many challenges ahead, we are always proud that we have chosen and are doing the right job that we love. Journalism makes us more realistic in our self-reflection and our understanding of the world around us. And because of that, we always remind ourselves to adjust and move forward in a positive and progressive way.
