Female monster uses 'buy high, sell low' trick to scam on social networks
Through social networks, Ho Thi Hoa (Nghe An) has repeatedly defrauded people by buying agricultural products at high prices and then selling them to others at low prices to appropriate their property.
The People's Procuracy of Huong Son district has just signed a decision approving the prosecution of Ho Thi Hoa (born in 1995), residing in Hamlet 7, Nam Anh commune, Nam Dan district (Nghe An) for the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
According to information from the investigation agency, because she wanted money for personal use, Ho Thi Hoa had the idea of defrauding and appropriating other people's property. Through the social network Facebook, Hoa created 4 accounts named "Dang Kim Ngan", "Nguyen Thu Ha", "Dien Gia Dung" and "Thao Tran" with fake personal information and then joined groups to buy and sell goods.

Hoa finds people who want to buy goods and people who want to sell the corresponding items. Taking advantage of the fact that buyers like cheap prices and sellers like high prices, during the exchange process, Hoa offers a cheaper selling price and a higher buying price than the market. In addition, Hoa hires people to fake images of money transfer transactions to pay the seller so that customers trust to ship the goods to the address Hoa requests.
After agreeing on a price, Hoa asked the seller to ship the goods to the buyer's address. The buyer paid Hoa after receiving the goods, but Hoa not only did not pay the seller but also blocked all contact with the victim.
Using the above tricks, from June 17 to August 7, Ho Thi Hoa defrauded and appropriated the property of 5 victims, with an amount of over 19.3 million VND, illegally profiting 15.56 million VND.
On October 9, the Investigation Police Agency of Huong Son District Police issued a Decision to prosecute Ho Thi Hoa for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" under Clause 1, Article 174 of the Penal Code.
The case file is currently being completed for processing according to the provisions of law.
