Eighth-grade female student in Nghe An was beaten by a group of students.
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to a conflict stemming from suspicions of slandering each other, an 8th-grade female student in Dien Chau district was beaten by a group of people in the middle of the street.
On the morning of May 11th, Mr. Nguyen Hai Dong, Principal of Dien Hong Secondary School (Dien Chau District), stated that the school, along with leaders from the District Education and Training Department, is working with parents and students involved in the incident where female students were caught fighting and the video was posted on social media. This is the third time the school has met with parents regarding this matter.
According to two videos, each over 4 minutes long, shared on social media by the victim's family, an 8th-grade female student from Dien Hong Secondary School was repeatedly grabbed by the hair, slapped, and kicked in the stomach by two other female students. Meanwhile, more than 10 other female students stood around laughing and filming the incident. The incident occurred on a street in Dien Ngoc commune.

According to Principal Nguyen Hai Dong, the school has initially determined that the female student who was beaten by a group of students is an 8th-grade student. As for the two female students involved in the beating in the video, one is currently in 9th grade at the school, while the other dropped out a few years ago. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, May 7th.
"I was the one who was beaten, and I was the ringleader of the group that beat up my cousin. According to the school's investigation, the incident stemmed from a conflict over slander, so the two sides arranged to meet in Dien Ngoc commune to settle the matter. The incident occurred outside the school, and these students didn't have classes that afternoon, so the school only learned about it after the information appeared on social media," Mr. Dong said.
According to the principal, after receiving the information, the school administration went to the homes of the students involved to discuss the matter. “Because these two female students are siblings, the families initially said they would resolve the issue internally. However, the two families couldn't reach an agreement. Therefore, the victims continued to post the incident and video clip on Facebook. The school then invited the parents to a meeting and suggested they file a complaint with the police if they didn't want to resolve it internally,” Mr. Dong added. After the incident, the female students continued to attend school as usual.
According to our investigation, in the video of the female student being beaten by a group, there were more than 10 other female students from various junior high schools in Dien Chau district who witnessed the incident. Currently, the school is also working with the female students present. After the incident, one of the female students involved in the group beating even went on social media to challenge others, showing pride "in becoming famous," and also calling for shares of the post.
