Orphaned female student with strong will

(Baonghean.vn) -In the recent National High School Exam, Nguyen Thi Quy, a student from Co Do High School (Nghia Dan) excellently achieved 28 points in block C (Literature 9.0, History 9.25, Geography 9.75). Quy is the only Nghia Dan student to be recognized by the Provincial People's Committee.

Born in Hong Thai hamlet, Nghia Hong commune (Nghia Dan), mOrphaned at the age of 2, Quy and his three sisters suffered many hardships. Mrs. Hoang Thi Than, Quy's mother, passed away this year.over 60 years old, retired worker of Co Do farm.

Ms. Hoang Thi Than shared: "I gave birth to Quy when I was over 40 years old. Being pregnant with Quy was a difficult and arduous process. At that time, I had arthritis and had to get injections, but I was afraid that it would affect the fetus, so I tried to endure the pain. I knew that giving birth at that age was dangerous and difficult, but thanks to it, my family was happier. But my husband suddenly passed away when Quy was just over 2 years old. Quy lacked the love of a father, so everyone loved him very much. And now, seeing my child achieve his dream, I don't know what else to say."

Through the conversation, Quy exuded confidence and maturity that is rarely seen in a small student from the mountainous region. Quy said that because of her family's circumstances, she always tried to study hard. During her last 3 years of high school, Quy was an excellent student in all aspects, and she was also elected as the deputy class leader in charge of studying. In particular, in grade 11, Quy won third prize in the provincial excellent student category in Literature and Geography, and was an outstanding student of the school. She also studied in the Party sympathy class.

Sharing his study secrets, Quy confided: "I mainly self-study, self-research, do a lot of exercises, different types of questions, different types of exercises, learn knowledge from books, newspapers, on the internet to enrich my vocabulary. In addition, I have to mention the enthusiastic guidance and care of the subject teachers and the exchange with my friends in the group."

Teacher Nguyen Hoa Van - Quy's homeroom teacher said: "In Quy, I see his diligence, eagerness to learn, confidence, determination, and great willpower. He is very quick in solving problems, and has a good vocabulary. In particular, he is a student who passed both provincial excellent student exams - a rare thing at school. In addition to being good at block C subjects, he is also good at other subjects."

It is known that he has received an admission notice from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. When asked about his dream, Quy said that he had researched very carefully to make his decision. Although he had to study far from his family and mother, he would try to improve his knowledge and skills, and later work in a company or business, and expand his knowledge and foreign language skills.

This determined girl still reminds herself: "On the road to success, there are no footprints of lazy people". I believe that this will continue to be the motivation for Quy to succeed on the road ahead.
