Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, Bui Thu Trang's mother, said that Thu Trang's achievement of being the top scorer in the 10th grade of the province was a surprise to her and her family. Because both her parents are teachers, they understand the pressure of exams, especially when their children are young, so they only encourage their children to study independently, consult and choose to take the exam for a high school that is suitable for their abilities, but do not set a goal for their children to get high scores, enter a specialized school, or a selective class. Therefore, this time, she did not choose to take the exam for a specialized school, but her first choice was to register for Quynh Luu 1 High School. This is also a school with a long tradition of high achievements in Quynh Luu district.

“The family also wants the child to study near home so that they can take care of him and advise him on everything in life and study. Moreover, this is also the child's own wish, so the parents will respect it.”

During 9 years of study, from primary to secondary school, Thu Trang has always been an excellent student of the school, with an average score of 9 or higher at the end of the school year, leading the academic results of the block and the school. She has also won high prizes in competitions for excellent students and competitions launched by the school. Most recently, in the district excellent student competition for the 2020-2021 school year, she won first prize in English, third prize in Math and was on the list of the provincial excellent student competition team. However, this year due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Department of Education and Training did not organize the competition.

Sharing about her studies, Thu Trang believes that she must be conscious of studying, clearly defining that she is studying for herself and to assert herself. “My parents do not put pressure on me about studying, they completely trust me, so I do not have to force myself too much.”

To get good study results, first of all, at school, I have to focus on listening to the teachers explain the exercises in the textbook, and at home, do more advanced exercises to practice the skills of perceiving the questions, handling difficult problems so that when encountering many different types, I will not be confused. Besides, I also regularly search and learn more knowledge and good lectures online.

Thu Trang studies all subjects equally, but her favorite is English. Because both her parents are English teachers, she has been able to study since she was little and now Thu Trang is confident in communicating with foreigners.

Ho Thi Nhu Quynh, a classmate of Bui Thu Trang (and also a close friend who has studied together since kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school), shared: Trang organizes her time very scientifically and reasonably in her studies. Not only is she a good student and does all her subjects equally, but she also helps and is friendly with her friends. We often organize study groups and during the study process, she is willing to share study tips and ways to solve math problems to achieve good results.
