'Steel female midfielder' won SEA Games 30 gold medal and was honored by her hometown Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Thai Thi Thao, female midfielder of the Vietnamese women's football team, after winning the SEA Games 30 Gold Medal in the Philippines with her teammates, returned home to everyone's joy.
On the afternoon of December 17, at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Bai Son commune, Do Luong district and the departments and branches of Nghe An, a meeting was held to honor player Thai Thi Thao after she returned after winning the 30th SEA Games Gold Medal in women's football.
Many people from Bai Son commune were present to share the joy and pride when their hometown son and teammates bravely competed to bring glory to the Fatherland in the Southeast Asian women's football arena.

Thai Thi Thao also donated 10 million VND to the Bai Son Commune Scholarship Fund to help disadvantaged students strive to study well.
At the recent 30th SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's soccer team defeated the host Philippines to face Thailand in the final. The first scorer for coach Mai Duc Chung and his team in the semi-final was Thai Thi Thao.

With a height of only 1m59, weight of 51kg, and well-trained, Thai Thi Thao's advantage is her fierce playing style, not afraid of collisions, the ability to rush forward and launch long shots from outside the penalty area, as well as possessing good basic techniques. In addition, this female midfielder can also execute direct free kicks very well outside the 16m50 box.
