President Kolinda Grabar declares Croatia will win the World Cup

Croatia shocked the world on July 11 when they defeated England, a potential candidate for this year's championship, with a score of 2-1 and reached the World Cup final for the first time. They will face the French team at the stadium.Luzhniki, Moscow, tomorrow.

"We watched the game all through dinner,"AP"It's wonderful that all the allies congratulated us," Grabar-Kitarovic said before entering the final session of the NATO summit in Brussels, Belgium, on July 12.

The female leader did not forget to predict: "This will be a successful conference and we will win next Sunday."

Ms Grabar-Kitarovic had previously attracted media attention when she attended the match between Croatia and Russia, wearing the red and white shirt of her home team. She jumped for joy when Croatia won, to the disappointment of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev when Russia lost in the penalty shootout.

"I'm going to the final not only as a politician or president but also as a passionate fan of Croatian football. I used to play football when I was a child," said Ms. Grabar-Kitarovic, who will travel to Russia to cheer for Croatia. "Whatever the result, we are the winners."
