Ukraine's presidential candidate, Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko, admitted that Ukraine will not be able to take back Crimea, shortly after the presidential election.

Earlier, Ms. Tymoshenko signed a pledge in which she promised to return Donbass and Crimea to Kiev's control in case of victory in the presidential election on March 31. However, she stressed that if she fulfilled her pledge, she would resign from the presidency.

"Unfortunately, we will not be able to return Crimea immediately (after the election). But we will not allow anyone to get used to the fact that Crimea is not Ukrainian. It will return to us," Tymoshenko said on the "Svoboda slova" program on Ukraine's ICTV television channel on Monday evening.
