In the middle of the night, the car's anti-theft siren blared loudly... The homeowner rushed out to check, only to discover that his car was being fumbled by a "thief" who could not speak Vietnamese, trying to unlock and start the car...

On September 8, Lieutenant Colonel Luu Van Ba, Chief of Thach Thang Ward Police (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City), confirmed: The unit is coordinating with functional forces to clarify the motive for breaking into the car of a Korean man in the middle of the night on September 7.

Previously, according to the report and camera of Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh's family (62 years old, living in Thach Thang ward), at around 11:00 p.m. on September 7, a man (about 35 years old) with many suspicious signs circled many times right in front of the white Kia Morning Sport car with license plate 43A-089... owned by Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh, which was parked in front of the house (address 40 Nguyen Du, Thach Thang ward).

After using his hand to knock on Mr. Linh’s iron door, the man continued to walk around the parked car. About 10 minutes later, the man was able to “break into” Mr. Linh’s car, even though the car door was locked and the car’s siren was sounding continuously.

At the same time, Mr. Linh's family accidentally turned on the security camera in front of the house to monitor and discovered that someone had "broken into" the car parked in front of the house, so they immediately ran out and shouted for help.

It is worth mentioning that although the car owner and local residents discovered the incident, the man continued to sit in the car. About 10 minutes later, Thach Thang Ward Police arrived at the scene to handle the incident and took the man who had “broken into” Mr. Linh’s car to the ward police headquarters for questioning.

At the headquarters, this man was uncooperative, did not understand Vietnamese, and smelled strongly of alcohol. Only after the police of Thach Thang ward checked his identification papers and found an interpreter, did the man admit that he was a Korean citizen and was temporarily residing at the F-Home luxury apartment complex on Ly Thuong Kiet street (Hai Chau district).

According to Mr. Linh’s family’s report, the strange thing is that even though this person was drunk, he was still able to “break into” the car and sit there for more than 15 minutes. When people surrounded the car, this person still sat in the car and refused to come out until the police arrived.

“My car was locked, so only someone in the profession could open the car door. There were no signs of the car door being forced open. In addition, after getting into the car, this person removed the wires around the car lock and did not know what to do… The police and related units are currently investigating the case.
