"Three days ago, after receiving feedback from the people, we called the environmental company to check. Through initial inspection, there were some companies along the canal such as the petroleum company, but at that time no discharge was detected. In addition, there were also some households raising livestock near the canal, but with such a small number of households, we think it cannot be the reason why the entire canal section changed color," said the Chairman of Nghi Yen Commune People's Committee, adding that similar pollution had occurred in this section of the canal before.
