Quang Hai's choked tears; Coach Park is about to have a new destination
Nearly 3 months ago, the Vietnam National Team lost to Indonesia twice with Quang Hai shedding tears of frustration; Daejeon FC is contacting Coach Park Hang-seo to invite him to be the team captain. Those are the outstanding sports news in the past 24 hours.
Quang Hai's choked tears
Coach Troussier said goodbye to his players after two losses to a familiar opponent, Indonesia, at the end of March in the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. The two defeats, 0-1 away at Bung Karno and 0-3 home at My Dinh, took away a lot from Vietnamese football, from a position in the world's top 100 to personal sorrows, the most painful of which were Quang Hai's tears of frustration.
More than 2 months later, Quang Hai, as usual, joined the Vietnam national team to prepare for the match against the Philippines at My Dinh Stadium on the night of June 6. The Hanoi Police player wants to erase the sad memories and is determined to make his mark again under new coach Kim Sang-sik.

Midfielder Quang Hai shared that although the players have just gone through a period of intense competition in the V-League, new coach Kim Sang-sik has prepared a training plan to help his players recover and get into the rhythm well: “We are trying to adapt to the coach’s tactical intentions. The whole team also has video sessions in groups, so that the players can understand and absorb the coaching staff’s tactics.
Missing out on the Korean national team coach position, is Coach Park preparing for a new destination?
According to Chosun newspaper, Daejeon FC is contacting coach Park Hang-seo to invite him to become the team captain.

Coach Park Hang-seo is currently still in Vietnam to run the football academy that bears his name and serve as an advisor to the Bac Ninh Club.
Notably, Bac Ninh also agreed to let the Korean coach lead a professional football team while he was an advisor to the club.
Therefore, Daejeon FC had almost no obstacles in approaching coach Park Hang-seo.
Just "broke up", Mbappe and PSG fight each other
PSG and striker Kylian Mbappe "exchanged words" right after ending their relationship...

Mbappe has just joined Real Madrid on a free transfer from PSG. The Spanish team announced the new French player on June 3.
Having just "broken up" with PSG, the striker born in 1998 immediately posted criticism of PSG's Board of Directors for preventing him from playing for the team throughout the 2023-2024 season.
"PSG told me fiercely that they didn't want me to play football anymore," Mbappe told the media: "Coach Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos saved me, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to set foot on the pitch again. That's the truth, and that's why I'm grateful to Campos and Enrique."
Returning home for exactly 1 day, Indonesia's great midfielder can still play against Iraq
Jay Idzes is one of the best naturalized players Indonesia has. The 24-year-old center-back just had a successful season when he helped Venezia FC win promotion to Serie A. Because Venezia FC had to play in the play-offs to compete for promotion, Jay Idzes could not join the Indonesian national team like other players.

Earlier this week, Jay Idzes played in the “final” against Venezia FC, winning 1-0 against Cremonese. He then had just one day of rest before flying back to Indonesia to join coach Shin Te-yong’s team.
According to the original plan, the Indonesian team accepted the loss of Jay Idzes in the match against the Iraqi team on June 6.
