Raising tilapia provides a high income.
According to annual tradition, on the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, Vietnamese people have the custom of offering sacrifices to the Kitchen God and releasing a carp into the wild. Due to its beautiful colors, shape, and delicious meat, besides being bought for offerings to the Kitchen God and for release, red snapper is also a popular dish in many families' meals during Tet (Lunar New Year).
