Raising a baby is easy thanks to this super hot method
Lam Giang has applied the EASY cycle, which means Eat - Play - Sleep - Mom relaxes, since baby Meo was only 5 weeks old.
Phan Nu Lam Giang, a mother born in 1991 in Hanoi, has successfully applied the famous EASY method in Western countries and is "making waves" on many parenting forums. However, Lam Giang said that at first she was quite passive when she was pregnant with her first daughter. She thought that anyway, both sides of the family were close and had the means to help, so if any problems arose, the two women would help solve them. It was not until Meo was born that the young mother truly understood the suffering of mothers. After giving birth, her body was weak, her baby was fussy and her routine was irregular, causing Giang to have insomnia, stress, and fatigue. She herself also realized that the traditional way of raising children of women had many problems that were not really reasonable and scientific. Therefore, Giang began to learn many different methods to create a routine for her baby.
Giang finds the EASY Tracy Hogg method shared on many forums quite suitable and easy to apply. EASY is an abbreviation of the words: Eat - Activity - Sleep - Your time, which means Eat - Play - Sleep - Mom relaxes. EASY is simply understood as a cycle of activities that is repeated over a short period of time from waking up early in the morning until the end of the day of a newborn baby from birth. A baby's day will be a series of repeated EASY cycles. The baby will be fed when he wakes up (E-eat), then the mother lets him play and move (A-activity), the mother puts the baby down to sleep (S-sleep) and the mother has time to relax (Y-your time). When the baby wakes up, he will continue to enter a new EASY cycle. This repeats itself until the baby goes to sleep at night, ending a day for mother and baby.

When playing, Lam Giang often tells stories and sings to her children. In particular, she does not let her children come into contact with electronic devices such as TVs, iPads, and phones. |
Giang has been training Meo since she was 5 weeks old. According to her, mothers who want to practice the EASY method should start as early as possible, as the older the child, the harder it is to change their living habits. First, Giang teaches her child to distinguish between day and night. At 7am, she wakes her child up and takes her out to sunbathe. After that, all activities take place in a room with light. At 7pm, she starts turning off the lights or leaving a dim night light to help her fall asleep easily. In the first two weeks of practicing EASY, Meo only woke up once at night to eat, while before, she woke up three times a night. By the time Meo was 7 weeks old, she slept straight through until 7am the next morning and did not wake up once at night to eat.
Giang explains: "Every baby, when born, if reaching a weight of 2.7 kg, is completely capable of storing energy to eat every three hours. As the baby gets older, the stomach's capacity also increases, and the mother can feed the baby every four hours. Normally, a 2-month-old baby will follow the EASY 3 regimen, which means every 3 hours a cycle of Eat - Play - Exercise - Mom relaxes is repeated. As the baby gets older, the mother should recognize the signs of change in the baby and adjust accordingly according to the EASY 4, EASY 2-3-4, EASY 5-6 regimens."

Baby Meo is 20 weeks old, weighs 7kg and is 67.3cm tall. |
Currently, Meo lives on the EASY 2-3-4 regimen with the following specific schedule:
- 7am: Wake up, after cleaning, have breakfast immediately.
- 7:30-9:00: After eating, the child is allowed to sunbathe and play with his mother.
- 9:00-10:30: Tired from playing, the kids go to sleep.
- 10:30: Lunch, play.
- 13:00: Wipe baby's body.
- 13:30: Sleep two hours.
- 15:30: Dinner.
- 16:00-17:30: Play.
- 17:30: Mom gently massages the baby.
- 18:30: Bath and play before bedtime.
- 19:00: Dinner.
- 19:30: Baby goes to sleep until morning.
Children who apply EASY early can recognize what comes next, because the order of all activities never changes, this creates a biological rhythm for the child in the beginning of life. Children feel proactive and confident because they know that after waking up they can eat, after eating they can play and when they are tired they can go to bed.
When mother and child follow the EASY method, mother does not confuse the signals that baby "sends". Then, mother will know how to respond to each different need of baby. Mother understands baby and baby's needs are respected, both avoid feeding little by little all day because mother is afraid baby is hungry or wants baby to stop crying. This is also the way mother can avoid having to force baby to eat.
Lam Giang said that with EASY, she feels the full joy of motherhood. Her body is not tired and stressed like many other mothers. In particular, if she successfully trains her child with EASY, the child will be obedient at home playing with grandparents, and mothers can confidently return to work.
